I think the term we're looking for here is "orthogonal." Or "mirrored."

Not necessarily, if it was mirrored, it would go the exact opposite way, this ball will only turn at a 90 degree angle in the middle, you can see that if you try shooting straight up the sidelines, it will go straight.

This kept happening to me last year until I realised that I was clicking somewhat off court and once I aimed with my mouse closer to inside the goalie area, it started working.

Okay i was just wondering for the cup tomorrow, is there a certain time that people have to play? or can we play anytime tomorrow? Never participated in the altador cup before so i am still learning everything. :)

Last year, we can play for the whole weekend or so, at any time. It wouldn't be fair to those living in other regions otherwise, so I expect that it would be the same this year.

If neither team scores any points, does it count as a tie?

Oh, yeah.... GO ROO!

Yes, it's a tie. But you should still send in the tie, as it will award some points to your team.

Whoo, more Roligans :D

I still hate the main game with a passion. Hopefully the other two will be better. In the meantime, gotta go with the home team, Mystery Island!

OK, last year I didn't score a single goal all year, and now I've won 4 training sessions in a row. The tips page is a lifesaver guys! Two additional tips which are probably extremely obvious to everyone but me...

1. It's really hard to aim based on the direction your player is facing when they have possession. Make sure you put the curser IN the goal, not just in the general direction of it, when shooting at a diagonal and you will get it past the goalie 9 times out of ten. Plus, you'll never overshoot again. (At least with the normal yuyoos.) That was what killed me last year.

2. Never have more than two of your own guys on the opposing side of the field. Not only does it leave you with no one but the goalie to defend, but clutters up all your shots at the goal. Seems to go against common sense to hit shift and have all your players running in the opposite direction as you drive toward your opponents' goal, but it makes scoring a LOT easier.

Thanks again for all your help, collective forum goers. :D (Go Roo!)

Go Roo Island! Anyway, I haven't tried the game this time around, so I assume it is different than last year. Sadly, I am missing 5 days because I have to go to a camp. So my fellow RI'ers, do well!

Will the cup be starting at midnight NST today when it goes into the 5th on neopets time? Because I hope it is or I won't be able to play much on the first day, against Brightvale.

Nobody knows. But don't worry, it should last 24 hours so plenty of time for people in every timezone to send their scores in.

Your team will match up against Brightvale a second time later on in the tournament. So if you miss the first one, you'll still get a chance to play against them.
