Re: Journey to the Lost Isle Discussion (split #15)
I'm disappointed if this was the end of the plot. It seems like it was a slapped together ending. I don't really feel like anything had been explained. I'm still hoping they'll pick it back up after the Cup.

If the plot is really over then why on the Neopets front page does it still have a link to battledome to fight the petpet horde? I didn't get a chance to fight them so I am disappointed. I'm starting to agree with the conspiracy theory that it was just to distract us from what they did to our pets. If this is how Neopets is going to do things from now on, then I'm not happy with them.

Sorry to interrupt the grumping, but lightning just struck my brain.
I don't believe for one second that the plot's over. Not with that silly line drawing attention to the question mark after The End - and ONE person doing the prize shop? Haha. No waaay is it over. And dudes. You know how we were saying it would be cool if the Isle plot infected the Cup? How it would be the first time two plots overlapped, actually influencing each other rather than standing alone? How it would be fun if the newsreaders - instead of yammering on about forwards and fair play - got to report on something really newsworthy, like a pitch invasion by giant mutant petpetpets? Or maybe... a rebellion by the balls themselves?
The mutant Yooyuballs in the Altador Cup started misbehaving a day or two ago - going in all directions. Yup, it's annoying. Wait... the mutant balls? The mutant yooyus? The MUTANT petpets that form the ball and are essential to the game of Yooyuball?
The mutants that have nothing whatsoever to do with the mutants on the MUTANT ISLE PLOT?!
Am I going crazy, or is Sloth watching this insignificant little ballgame and going

I hope that this is just a fake-out, but I'm starting to believe that it actually is over...which would make this a really good fake-out.
The Mayor was linked there for a long time after the HWP, too. I don't think that necessarily means anything, unfortunately.

Great theory, but I've been having trouble with Yooyuball recently--and not just the Yooyus. The 3-1 and 1-3 positioning for the teams were (and maybe still are) screwed up for me as well.
EDIT: Yep, still reversed. I'm playing a team in the 3-1 positions while I'm in the 1-3 positions.

Re: Journey to the Lost Isle Discussion (split #15)
Personally, I feel that neopets just "paused" the plot for the Altaldor World Cup. There was some talk in past Splits weather they would even do the World Cup due to the JTTLI Plot. It just seems like they have done it the other way around, let people focus on one and let the other stew for a while. At the same time getting us all annoyed with that ONE LITTLE ANNOING SYMBOL .... "?"

That's a good point. They must have at least two programmers. And they definitely have at least two artists. It's strange that the prize shop would be put on hold just because of one person going on vacation.
I doubt that the mutant yooyus are, in fact, tied to the plot. That would be complicated. However, TNT could, if they chose, tie in the missing Kreludor team to activities on the mutant island.
Or, they could just leave things as they are, but that would make little sense.

Neopets editorials:
As for the Lost Isle plot, it is over. Well, it was quite open-ended, wasn't it? There was also that suspicious question mark after "The End." Curious. But no, it's over and prizes will be coming shortly. (The lad who worked on the code has been stolen away, unfortunately. The minute he's given back to us, he'll finish the prize shop! Hopefully this will happen in the next couple of weeks.)

I love how they're being as obvious as they can without coming right out and explicitly saying "Of course it's not over you fools!"

Re: Journey to the Lost Isle Discussion (split #15)
Perhaps the mutant Petpetpets could invade the colloseum in Altador, eating a few of the winning team's players. Haha!
I think it would also be interesting to have either Virtupets OR Kreludor be involved with the mutations -- they can control the big ole bugs.

Well, as I've said before--I hate the Altador cup. Not to be wishing my summer away, I can't wait for June to end and have the POSSIBILITY of this plot coming back!!

Re: Journey to the Lost Isle Discussion (split #15)
Supposedly, it's over, however, I very much doubt that they're supposedly is on with that...

Re: Journey to the Lost Isle Discussion (split #15)
Hrm.. even though the editorial says it's over, has anyone taken a look at the Coming Soon page? It says "A Mysterious Voyage Continues". What other "voyage" could TNT be referring outside of the JLI plot??

Hee, fun theory, but the balls are actually behaving as they're supposed to -- I think they were broken before. The rules page says:
Mutant: This Yooyu is extremely unpredictable, moving in a variety of patterns reminiscent of the Fire, Snow, Faerie and Darigan Yooyus.
And it has since before the tourney started.

They have a record of not updating the coming soon page. Say for example, 'meepit vs feepit' and a few other games could still be found on the page a few weeks after their release.
So, that might, or might not be a clue...
