Stolen Account!! What should I do??

There was someone who signed up on PPT specifically to post a scam link. The Admins took care of them...and then they came back later in the day to gloat - and repost the scam links - and were dealt with again.

Yeah, and now he is selling off EVERYTHING I had in my SDB.

I think I'm going to try to convince TNT to just freeze my old account.
Don't worry, I'm starting over and I guess it'll just be another challenge for me. (Despite of my lost trophies, super strong pet, lab map, sidebars, avatars, and participated plots...)

And thanks for everyone who had helped so far!! PPT is a great community to be in and I'm glad I joined this forum

Better scan your computer incase that the scammer has inflict a keylogger or trojan horse in your computer

Do not use your Neopets Password on this forums password, There are smart hacker out there who can hack into Board Data and get out all the password

Dun click on suspicious link that end with a execute program like .exe

I cleared my computer's cookies/histories/whatnot. And I usually have all my passwords different. I'll keep that in mind.

you've done all you can. it really sucks having to start over, I've been there before. PPT sadly attracts good and bad people. all that can be done is just warn people that if you are taken to a login page, do NOT log in.

Oh my goodness. Neopets is JUST a game. You can't even make real cash out of it. You're spending virtual cash on virtual things. Sheesh.

Starting over isn't so bad, after all. Doing the Altador Plot again is kinda nostalgic.

Ouch, I would've donated but I got my account frozen recently. That must be really frustrating, especially the way that guy wrote the letter. I really think they need to make it that you can only change your e-mail from your verification code thing that was sent to your account when you signed up.

TNT froze the person who stole my account, and his account which had my pet, and a lot of friendly people helped me out.
If theres anything I can do to help at all, either pm me on here, or send a neomail (username same as here).

And the most important thing to remember is, you will always have friends on PPT

Well, a new account isn't half bad either. I'm not as addicted as I use to be (yay. more time for school ) and it's just another challenge I'm taking on.

The funny thing is that he sold practically everything in my SDB and made over 40 million neopoints. Who knew my old account had that much potential?? (Yeah, I was a pretty hardcore packrat "ooh!! something shiney!! *sticks in SDB despite of its worth*" )

But once again, I really really REALLY appreciate everybody's sympathies and help. I PPT!!

Nope, its still sat in someone elses frozen account, and they said I wouldn't be able to get it back, so I created a new pet and 2 days later it was zapped baby. Coincidence?
