I'm surprised there haven't been any topics about it, yet. o_o;;
Anyway, as everyone knows, Live Earth is happening right now. You can either watch it here, or on the Bravo channel. I had to go with the latter because MSN (with the M standing for Microsoft) + Konqueror (browser for Linux) = FAIL.

I think I missed Koda Kumi's performance though. :( I was really wanting to see it.

As a very green person, I was ecstatic about this thing! I myself am watching it on Bravo since...well, I didn't know about the website, and who gets Sundance channel anyways?

On a side-ish note, I didn't know that Phil Collins was in Genesis. Although I'd never heard of that band to begin with...*hopes any Genesis fans won't be mad*

XD
I was thinking he was either in Genesis or The Police. I couldn't be bothered to remember.

It was on Sundance too? ;_;
If my dad wasn't asleep, I could've turned on the stereo. XD

And for the Pink Floyd fans who missed Roger Waters...God bless you. It was incredible.
THEY HAD THE PIGGY. <3

Well, here it was on 4 channels : each covering a different city.

CTV - London
MuchMusic - Washington/NYC
MuchMoreMusic - London
MuchVibe - Johannesburg
Star - Rio/Tokyo
Bravo! (different from the American NBC Universal owned one) - Hamburg

^ At least that's all I saw. But I didn't really watch much. One question, though : was Live Earth carbon-neutral?

CTV was airing highlights of various cities.

About your carbon-neutral question, they claim it is. The event left a huge carbon footprint- enough electricity used to power 5 homes for a year or something like that, performers flying around the world on private jets, some of the performers (namely Madonna) having a bad track record with environmentalism, all the ticketholders travelling and therefore polluting, the inevitable garbage cleanup... The list goes on. As a result, they're buying carbon credits to offset the whole thing. But this whole thing really should've been about setting an example for people on how they can do their part for climate change, so I found it rather hypocritical. There are valid arguments for and against the event, but with that looming over, I just couldn't bring myself to watch more than a few minutes.

Looks like someone's buying a hell of a lot of carbon offsets.
