But I want to say "I know them! Figuratively speaking!"

It's a show on MTV which shows underaged couples getting married.

Thats brilliant.

I'd put that above the Sweet 16 princess show, but waay below Next.

Next is the pinnacle of MTV programming, best swotvac procrastination ever.

Well, about the age thing- in Canada, you have to be 18 to marry, or 16 with parental consent. (...Or 14 with judicial consent, but who'd do that?!)

I'm sure you've all got it sorted out. Congrats!

An engagement is just a higher commitment, it doesn't mean you're getting married soon.

Congratulations on making that commitment to each other, I hope you two make it. :)

Woo another one of the original ASPers ^_^

Nessa. It is a higher form of commitment but you also do as "Will you marry me" which hints that you are going to ger married. Its not soon as in tomorrow but we don't want to wait ages either.

Wow, that's amazing. Just goes to show that online interaction and friendship is a lot more valuable than many people think it is. I wish I could just show my parents this thread and be like "See guys? This is real! It means something!", but it wouldn't convince them. Well, we PPTers understand, and wish you well. :)

By the way, when I read the first post, I was like "Wow, I do remember that!" I remember ASP and all that. I love how old it makes me feel. :D
