Ok so the skii trip went great! Great snow, great company.. then everything happened on the last day (yesterday).
Simon hurt his knee trying to do a helicopter + grab off a skii jump, so we all head to the car early to go home. There are four people in my car including me, and we head off first on the main highway back to Melbourne. For some reason, we miss the main turn off to home and we head 45 minutes in the completely wrong direction, only realizing our mistake until we ended up in a town that was suspiciously on the opposite way we were suppose to be going.
With heavy hearts, we turned around and 45 minutes later (2 hours behind the other two cars by then) ended back in the beginning town again. After a quick refill of petrol, we head off.
This time we take the right one.. but 30 minutes into the journey on the mountainous regions, the engine suddenly blows and there is steam everywhere!! I can't be bothered typing everything now but basically:
First we all got lost, then the car broke down on a hill, then the water pipe broke, then the insurance road assist had expired so we couldn't get help, then we couldn't get reception on the phones to call the police, then the phone batteries started running out...
Eventually, Simon gets a lift into the next town to get help. Eventually car got towed... stayed at a motel.. today on the train home, we pulled up at a station, and all these cops raided the train and arrested this random guy in our carriage! I was sitting around ready to say, "OK Ashton!! You got me!!"
