Something like that mostly depends on your vision beforehand, I'd guess. I have horrible vision in the first place, so naturally staring at the computer/tv and reading without my glasses on doesn't help, but it might not be the same for you.

I thin the world would have cared if my Dad was blind at 40.
He drove a 40 foot lorry you see.
A what? Speak English, please.

Over the last year or so, my vision hasn't changed at all, even though I've been on the computer a lot. However, when I was younger, say 11-13ish using the computer drastically crapped up my vision. I'm sure the effects aren't going to be great when you get older, but I doubt you'll go completely blind unless you're basically 5-7 inches away from your computer screen 6 hours a day.
But you might get radiation poisoning, pass out, and then die.

Pfft. You won't. You won't die either. Lol.
I've had bad eyes since I was in second grade.. >.< Right now my contacts say -5.00 and -5.75 and haha, I'm not wearing those for a while. I've always used the comp a lot as well, and my vision hasn't changed that much in the past four or five years... but now I have corneal neovascularization, dry eye, and blepharitis. I'm currently taking three medications. >.<
Don't worry about going blind... you have nothing to worry about really.
