I'm glad they were honest about the Winged Talisman mistake. I feel much more understanding towards them now.

And, how exciting to have an Altador Paint Brush in the works? I very much hope they figure out a way to give unique clothes to Altadorian painted pets, without removing the possibility of any purchasable Greek-style clothes. I guess now that they are working with customization in mind, they can make the paint brush items particularly unique, so they will stand out as different from any purchasable items.

I hope it's not Lutari, lol. Based on some of the shopkeepers, I'm not sure it would be the most attractive colour.

I just hope with all the customization hoopla that they don't forget that colors don't HAVE to have clothes on them to be cool. :/

That said, I'm excited about the new paint brush. Too bad they said it won't be Shenkuu, cuz that is what I would really want the most.

I'm disappointed it won't be a Shenkuu one, too. I'm kinda hoping in the back of my mind that it will be a Neovia paintbrush, but that's just as unlikely.

When I first read the editorial and they were talking about the new paintbrush I was really quite excited because their answer made it seem like an Altador pb was in the works (and if ninja aisha is out of the question, gladiator aisha will do for me)..and then I came here and remembered that they have already pretty much released the lutari pb (although there are no colors). Dangit if that is the new color for October. The Lutari paint brush is such a flawed idea and I will not be very happy if they actually go through with it.

There haven't been any real images of pets painted that color except for the Island Lutari, and that one doesn't look that bad (compared to lots of others since the revamp).

In my opinion the lutari island paintbrush is a flawed idea. Sure, it's a paintbrush based off of a place, but it's also based off of a place that 99% of the general public doesn't have access to. Places with paintbrushes (The Lost Desert, Mystery Island, Tyrannia, ect) have entire worlds with characters and places and plots and things that make them worth a paintbrush. Lutari Island is a gimmick for Neopets to make money off of you while you're away from your computer. Plus the island (and the paintbrush) is named after a pet. Personally, I would not spend any great amount of neopoints to buy a paintbrush that would turn my lutari into a 'Lutari Island Lutari'.

Perhaps if they changed the name of the paintbrush to Tribal, it wouldn't be so bad. But again, I feel like the paintbrush idea itself is flawed. If TNT made a poll that let users choose between Tribal (Lutari Island/whatever) and let's say Altadorian.. I would seriously eat my socks if Tribal won. When people start talking about paintbrush colors they want, nothing close to the apparent Lutari Island design (if we judge by the released shop keepers) ever really comes up because the islandy need is already met with the Mystery Island Paint brush. ANd no one seems really interested in paying the millions of neopoints for extra feathers and face paint.

And I think the Lutari you're referring to is actually the Island Lutari..which isn't painted with the Lutari Island brush at all.
