My main account was suspended for 95 hours. It was because I had a contest in my guild, but it had no prizes! It clearly said that on the guild front page and on the website, but someone reported me. I told TNT twice. Is there anything I can do? And also, do I only get one more chance since it was 95 hours? :(

thats really odd and have never heard of neopets doing that before.

I guess you just have to wait until they email you back...which sometimes takes awhile because they are over run with emails daily.

Best wishes to you though. Email them again in a few days if you dont hear back.

Hopefully TNT will be able to work it out with you, if they don't respond in a few days, re-email them if you need to. I have never heard of that happening, ever. And for 4 days?

I've had this problem myself with my guild. Be sure to call contests "games." Neopets assumes that contests have prizes and once they see "contest," they go into action.

Well, I think 95 hours is a bit much ... the way suspensions were explained to me (could be wrong) was that they're kind of cumulative. In other words, let's say your first suspension is 24 hours; second would be probably 48 to 72 hours, and more from there. Then you just get frozen.

Now as to the reason for the suspension -- no one had to report you or your guild. Monitors can see everything -- the boards, the guilds (including guild boards), neomail. And there are filters ... so the word "contest" could've sent up a red flag that a mod went and checked out. Whether or not there are prizes, contests are just not allowed. Not in any way, shape or form.

I know some guilds try to get around that by having off-site websites. But there's another way to get warned/suspended/frozen -- posting off-site links.

i agree that 95 hours is a bit much. You can never be to careful with your guild and on the neoboards.

Yeah. I believe they are banned because contests give out prizes.

Ugh I just gave up on TNT. I only log in for about once a week now and I closed the guild. I went to subeta and I love it. It's the best. <3 Neopets is really a crappy site now.

Meh...these rules are in place only because it takes a few nasty people ruin things for everyone else. Like they say, it only takes one rotten apple to ruin the bushel! The contest rule was implemented with good intentions, in order to help avoid some types of scams.
