Yesterday, when I tried to load the site somewhere between 2 and 3 AM NTS (during holidays I always visit it around that time) I got an 'The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading' error. I tried about half an hour later and it was ok.
Today I try to enter, get the error, five minutes later it loads just fine, then when I'm in the middle of doing my dailies (about 10 minutes later) it's 'The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading' again.

Is it just traffic overload? Then again, why would there suddenly be traffic overload during those hours - it's not like we've got plot prizes or something. Or could it be that TNT are tweaking something?

I'd guess TNT is just making some adjustments. I've never gotten an error like that in my five years of playing.

It would make sense that they would be making adjustments to the site at that time because you're right: there aren't many people on at that time. Because of that, it's the perfect time to fix stuff on the site.

My husband does web design and such and when he's working on a site with semi-heavy traffic, he'll do it between those hours. So that would be my guess, though I don't know that for sure.
