Please Help

Thu Aug 30, 2007 9:39 pm

Neopets hasn't been working lately for me. I think I got some kinda Norton Internet Security update that might be blocking it.

Can someone help me?

Do you get any errors when you try to access Neo? What shows up? What doesn't show up/display correctly?

I don't get an error message, but the graphics and links don't show.

try clearing your cookies and making sure any of your spyware, virus checkers, etc have the domain neopets.com on the safe list.

if that doesnt help then try taking a screenie for us. that might help.

I have the same problem. Unfortunately I have to turn off the firewall.

I know I put neopets on a sort of safe list for my firewall and it works fine.

you should not turn off your firewall - it makes you vulnerable to all sorts of things. it defeats the point of having one if you have it switched off!

Exactly. There must be some way you can put it on a "safe" list.

Try adding Neopets to your Safe List. There should be an option for that if you go to Settings. If you don't know how to do it, your firewall Help File should tell you. Turning it off just makes you vulnerable to all sorts of things, as Rachel said, so you shouldn't do that.
