For what it's worth, "U.S. American" may sound clumsy, but is more geographically correct than just "American," which technically includes Canadians, Salvadorans, Columbians, Mexicans, French Guyanese, Brazillians...

However, "United Statian" remains the most correct.

I was thinking about that. Most of those nationalities wouldn't identify themselves as just American, though, so I guess calling a United Statian an American is okay. :P

My senile Geography teacher freshman year told us about the time she went to Canada and called them Americans, because in her baby-boomer generation hippie mind, we're all Americans because we all live in North and South America. Needless to say, according to her, when she called Canadians Americans they were "unhappy".

Well, as someone in the comment section stated:

Haha, they showed this on Rove last week.

As the guy who presented it said.. "I'll give you my first born if you can make sense of this entire statement."

Gone, forever.

That's a bit unkind to trophy wives.
They atleast have the sense of mind to marry rich, and honestly, I don't think she will manage that.

The real problem I have is that beauty contests try to keep up the pretense about caring whether or not their contestants have more than 7 IQ points. It's a beauty contest. I fail to see why they bother making them memorize rambling, half-witted speeches about saving the animals or "improving edumacation".

As someone said before, they are there to be looked at. *waves $1 bill* Washington bets that Miss South Carolina couldn't even identify her own state on a map of the US, but so long as she's in a beauty contest and not on Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader we shouldn't have to know.

So please, beauty pageants, stop trying to convince us that your contestants are smart and knowledgeable about world issues. You're failing miserably.

Beauty may well be in the eye of the beholder (And not the eight foot eye ball things as I was lead to belive) but Intelligence is attractive.

Course it may just be me, but I like being able to hold a conversation with someone, you know.

Unfortunately, that's not the case with everyone. Many people are perfectly content to date someone who thinks that George Washington invented the lightbulb so long as they're hot.

Oh, I'm sure you'd be able to have a conversation with her.

Whether or not the conversation makes sense is a different matter entirely.

"So, what are your hobbies?"

"Well, uhm, I am of the opinion that many people today the education system in America needs much improvement and people shouldn't hunt animals."

"Ohhhkaaayyy...."

Well, I personally believe this is frickin hilarious! My husband and I have been joking about this all week long...my favorite parts are "US Americans," "The Iraq," and the random "Such As" that appears a couple of times.

While it is hilarious, I do feel a little (little) bad for her. She's being talked about everywhere from the news to the internet...poor kid.

Is that really the case with the majority?
Sure, Ive seen examples of vacuous idiots being fawned over, but I thought they were the minority.

Even the most well-intentioned people make extra allowance for someone who is attractive. Look at the statistics. Skinnier, prettier people are more likely to get hired, receive roadside assistance, get help carrying their groceries... Everything.

I catch flack from my friends because they consider me "too picky". We met some guy while we were out and I talked to him for a bit. He was good-looking, but if I were his mother I'd never leave him unsupervised for fear that he'd stick a fork in an electrical outlet or drown in a bucket. He was unbelievably ignorant and dumb. Ah, yes, it's such a mystery why I gave him the number to the local pizza place when he asked for mine. It's not exactly endearing to brag about the size of your male attributes 10 minutes into your first conversation with someone.

... See, those are people are the reason I don't get out much.

Turns out my own deluded little world is better afterall, and barring one or two exceptions I've never had a conversation like that.

The good people are worth all the trouble.

Anyway, yeah, this video will haunt that girl forever. Why couldn't they just let her prance around in a bathing suit and twirl a baton in peace?

I feel kind of sorry for her. Most dumb people don't get their dumbness so exposed.

But yeah, it's a Beauty Contest, clue's in the name.
