Neopets used to be the funnest site ever. Now it's just not fun at all. I don't think they're going to last much longer. *sigh*. I used to spend ALL my time on it and now I'm just fed up with it. I miss the old days.

I'm still enjoying it, perhaps you need a break.

I think that's the way most players start to feel about the game they used to be quite fond of, after about 4-5 years of playing. Unless, they just keep making it more and more fun. For me, it's not happening.

Think it might still be fun for people who are just now joining the site and just starting to get the hang of things.

They don't necessarily need a base of old players to still be active in order for the site to stay up. ~:>

Personally, I love Neopets. Its great for blowing off steam - even if I just do the dailies.

I just love plots. Those keep me coming back for more. Hopefully, we'll get another one soon.

I'm guessing this is connected to your account being suspended?

But other than that, nothing lasts forever. Every game, no wait, everything becomes boring after a while. You can try doing other things on the site you usually don't do, or as suggested, take a break from it. Or just do something else completely, you don't have to keep playing o_O

I love neopets! I'm sorry you're not having fun anymore. I agree with metalmario...maybe you do need a break.

About two years ago, my account of five years was frozen (my mom was using multiple accounts and TNT thought my account was one of them). While it sucked to lose all those trophies (including a book award and all the war trophies), it was nice to start with a cleared bank, especially with the knowledge that I had gained over the five years.

Kudos for taking it in stride!

i still love neopets. ^_^ but what I find depressing is the fact that the neopets boards aren't all that great. i wish they were all mature and neopets related, not like, "why r emos hot?" <- yeah i just saw that board. =[

Report it and it might eventually get dealt with. On the other hand you can make a more innocent comment and it'll likely get responded to faster.

No, not really. I've been on the site in this account for 63 months according to my shield, and probably an extra 15 or so with older accounts.

I don't think it'll disappear any time soon. Too much money's been invested into this - plus, although the current users may grow up, there's a whole bunch of teenagers joining the site every day.

I agree with everyone who says that breaks help when it's not fun anymore. After a few years, any game is going to lose a bit of its appeal. I took a year and a half off, and I came back with a new playing style that made me look at the game from a different angle that's actually fun for me. :)

If you want to start fresh right now without a break, you might take up gaming if you're a restocker, or battling if you're a gamer, or collecting if you're a battler. I've been around since 1999, and there are a few dozen sides to this game that I still haven't tried. I think it's likely to be around for the long haul.
