It's also on BBC 3 (Channel 115 assuming you have sky) every now and then.

Yeah, there never seems to be a set schedule for it - some weeks its on, and other weeks it isnt. :/

Geez, TV in Britain must suck. Where do all of those taxes go anyway?

Not really. Not only do we get the best of American TV, but we also get good shows from over here too like Doctor Who, Extras, The Office, Have I Got News For you, Nevermind The Buzzcocks, Mock The Week and Kombat Opera. Oh, and it also went into screening Jerry Springer: The Opera, which I would argue is one of the best musicals of all time. And we have all the good old British shows like Only Fools and Horses, Blackadder and Monty Python. And that's just the BBC, and we've still got ITV, Channel 4 and Five after that! Although Five tends to be mostly Nazis, surgery, Home & Away, CSI and NCIS.

I don't know WHAT exactly it is about this show that I love, and I feel utterly MORBID for some of the things they do that I find funny. My boyfriend usually is working when this show is on, [and to be completely honest with you, I have NO clue as to when it actually is on during the week, I just happen to stumble onto it every now and then at night! So anyone with that information would become my new best friend! Anyway---] so I am alone at home when I am watching it, but some of the things they do that make me laugh just seem so morbid that even though I am home alone, I still look around to make sure no one else is in the room. I just feel so bad for laughing! Ha.

But all in all, I love this show! I just wish the DVD sets weren't all so gal darn expensive! Some of us have families to feed afterall! ;)

I remember reading somewhere that you guys have a special tax for everyone who watches TV to pay for the BBC. I could be completely wrong on that.

TV license.
We also have taxes on, basically, everything.
For example, we pay three times what you do for petrol because of tax ;)

Apparently, Fox is going to air three episodes of Family Guy without the creator Seth Macfarlane's input whatsoever. As Seth is part of the writer's strike, he stated that if Fox wanted to make more episodes without him, that'd be fine. However, he also stated that he hopes the studio won't. Well, obviously that didn't happen and the first episode sans Seth is going into final stages of production.

Let me just say, this show is going to go downhill if Fox (Which is incredibly stupid when it comes to entertainment) makes Family Guy episodes without Seth. I mean, I think we're going to notice that half the cast is missing when the episodes finally air.

Wow.
That's an impressive way to alienate your writers, Kudos.

Saying that, if they did it with the Simpsons I think it might just improve.

So... Seth also won't be voicing characters?

Oh god.

*face palm* I wonder if this will get it cancelled... AGAIN.

Please don't let this be true :( I don't want to have to get my Seth McFarlane humor through Robot Chicken :(

I'm sure they're only releasing episodes that he has already recorded the voices for.

Frankly I'm not sure why the studios are putting up with this crap. If I ran a company and my workers started striking, they'd be gone. Granted, it's harder to replace writers than it is to replace laborers, but I would do my best to continue without them until they decided to come back. It seems like Fox is doing that, and I don't blame them in the least.

And then they sue you into the stone age.
You can't fire Union workers because they go on strike, especially when it is over incredibly good reasons.
