Sometime today the abbreviation - TNT - was longer allowed on the boards. A warning message comes up relating to profanity, etc.

The TNT avatar is also MIA.


Some of us are thinking that the 'powers that be' are making TNT censore more of the 'bad' things and making the site more child friendly.


Anyone have any thoughts or ideas on this?

LOL, that is so fantasically lame if they are renaming themselves due to censoring. Knowing them though it was probably more of a mistake than anything else..some out of the loop programmer (or who ever would be in charge of that) probably was 'oh hey, bombs are bad' and the rest of the staff has no clue. At least that is how I imagine their office running anyway.

While I think the censors are fine as they are, I can't belive they have to sensor their own abriviation! Its hilarious! Gosh Neopians these days, so creative in the abriviations they have come up with a meaning to TNT? Or was it a mistake that will vanish without most of the players *cough ELLA cough* lol, just raggin on ya! noticing. *shifty eyes*

It's possible they meant another abbreviation similar to TNT but someone typo'd it. Or maybe it's a prank.

Will we awaken tomorrow morning to find TNT encased in a giant quivering jelly mold?

this is going to a new level of strangeness.

All I've noticed is that my emails from TNT say they are from "The Neopets Staff", but that was probably the same as before. The TNT avatar still displays there as well. So, it's just a board thing?

I think it's just plain stupid that they might ahve to rename themselves because of it.

I'd say it's a mistake/joke. I know they can be incredibly over zealous when it comes to censoring, but I can't see them going that far. The TNT avatar is still there on my Lenny Conundrum neomail anyway, I'm sure that'd go if there was anything wrong with it.

There have been a few silly words accidentally blocked in the past. Some still blocked. Donkeys are aliens, donkeys are aliens!

It seems the weird censor of TNT has been unblocked.

It is now possible to post TNT on the boards, so it seems it was a glitch. Oh, well it was a great conspiracy theory while it lasted.

Hm, I wonder if we'll get any explanation for it now, though.

What an odd event.
