Man, I don't know about you guys, but this year's Advent Calendar gifts are really lame.

It has either been clothing (which is basically to promote the Neocash items), or pointless junk that has no use at all. Where the heck are special seasonal petpet paint brushes (like the Snow Petpet Paint brush a few years back), or usable items like codestones and BD items? A "Petpetpet Pop-up Card" and a couple hundred NP is absolutely pointless.

Useless items are like my biggest pet peeve on Neopets.

I kinda feel like they didn't give out "bigger" items like paintbrushes and such until later on in the month, anyhow.

Either way, you'll never hear me complaining about something that's free. :P Though I do have to join with the majority who wish the pile 'o presents were furniture or a Christmas cracker type item. Meh. They're still shiny and pretty.

NC items are completely different to wearables that you buy with neopoints.

It is like apples and oranges - yes they are both fruit, but they are different.

So is NC Items and NP items - both wearable but completely different.

As for more expensive items - meh!! The advent is about fun - I don't wont expensive items thrown at me - Tarla does a good job in bringing some items down in price, we don't need the advent doing it as well.

Codestones are expensive - but I can't see that changing even if TNT released more of them. The awareness of how important they are now (especially for users who do plots) will always keep them a fairly expensive item.

Paint brushes are desirable and a good commodity to have and I would really hate to see the prices drop.

For me and many others, the Advent is a treat, it is not about getting really expensive/exclusive items for free.

Find your inner child and be happy in the season of giving.

Thanks Daze. I haven't seen a Neopets comment in a long while that I can agree with instantly and fully.

I never expect anything expensive from the Advent Calender. If it looks nice or there is a funny flash video are the only concerns here. I've liked everything so far and even rearranged all of my customization for the ice garland too.

Keep up the fun stuff, TNT!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking for "expensive" items per-se, but more "useful" items. Having day after day of "Tree Topper", "Presents", "Wrappings", "Pop-up Card" etc. is totally pointless. They don't even DO anything, besides taking up space. At least make them playable like a toy or something, or usable like furnature.

And just now: Director's Slate + Toolbox. Again, more wearables.

I'd like to see some more Advent Calendar exclusives, like the Snow PPPB or Snow Kookith from the past. A new Christmas-themed brush (like giving pets a red-rudolph nose and antlers) or special non-paintable petpet (petpetpet) would be really refreshing.

Basically, more variety. Not everyone likes pet clothing :)

I like wearbles that go on the foreground/background; my baby kougra can wear them (but I think dung is funnier so they go into my SDB)
liked the animation; was hoping for an electrocuted mynci plushie  but hey, free stuff!

@rachel: the toolbox is because they were dressed like handymen, I think. The slate confuses me as well. o_O

It seems the two pets are working on a film set - The mynci has a headset on like they are on a filmset. The toolbox is on the floor near the tree.

....... or it may be a pun! - The two of them are directing the Star (tree topper).

I wish the toolbox and director's slate could be held by some pets. But they are interesting anyway. Free wearables are always nice.

I'm happy with the prizes so far. Especially the ones today, they'll look nice on my Bruce. Free wearables are always nice :)

I'm actually enjoying this prizes this year alot...instead of having "useless" clothing, the stuff we are getting is wearable :) I just hope they make some more clothing items from other Advent years wearable, like they did with the Blechy Hat.

Also, totally agree with Daze as well. Thanks for such a positive post!

Yes all the wearables are wondeful! Farther down the road it is also a great way to make neopoints by selling the wearables.
