I finally finished my codes. You don't have to do all of them. Only up until the message tells you they are putting the civilians onto transport shuttles. The leave the tunels and go back.

I think I did it the hard way. I used the last symbol of the codes to find out which ones would fit in the spaces to match the answer.

eg: I took 3 codes that all ended with x and put them in the spaces and if the last letter matched the last letter of the answer I wrote it down onto a sheet of paper, then I did the same for xxc, xxv, xxp, xx8, xx+, xxo. Then went onto xcc, xcv, xcp etc.

Once I had all of the eligible combinations written down I went through the list and chose the codes that matched.

eg: If xxc was a match I went through the list of codes and did every combination that ended in xxc.

Very long process but it worked out in the end.

Heres a pic of the to be continued screen

well, no matter how long it takes me, I'm going to finish all the puzzles - you never know what might come up later on that anyone who finishes without finishing all might miss out on. :S

What may be good news is that the same chart comes up even after rebooting. I was sure that I'd have to start back at the beginning of the chart today. I think that I understand the suggestions using the base calculations, but it seems even more work than just plowing through them. What I decided to do for the three modifiers is to put #1 in the first box, #2 in the second, and then place each of the others in turn in the third box until I find one that matches the desination last symbol.

Write that combination down. Then try all the numbers with the same last symbol. Then put #3 in the second box, and try all the following in the third box until the three last symbols match the destination last symbol. Then place each of the others with the same symbol, in turn and write the combination down.

And so forth.

This is quite tedious, but it is better than trying every # of code in the third box every time.

I have now done all of the codes. ^.^
bring on the next step
:D

what do you all think is going to be behind that third door?
Another impossibly hard puzzle? A battledome challenger? The mysterious Jedi Lupe?

Now, use this page:
-site removed. Disallowed be Neopets-

Paste the text into the box and hit "Generate".

The numbers that come up are the three OPTIONS you should put into the MODIFIER boxes in the actual Neopets plot step. If you look closely, you'll see that each line has a number next to it. The three numbers ninboy's program generated are the ones that should be used.

Good Luck everyone!

Not that I'm not grateful or anything... but this HAD TO come out just AFTER I have managed to write my own solver (which works, btw).....X.X

Edit: Quoted the wrong post .... -

lol, I had found a long way of working them out (but couldn't get it to work consistantly), I done 3 before that wonderful program was made.

I finally have the TBC message.

Ninboy's server has received over 12,000 hits since he uploaded the generator.
Please be patient and use any alternate site he posts (if necessary).

Wow, I'm stumped. I can't do any of them.

What is it that I'm actually meant to be doing?

Heh, now that I've had some sleep, I can think somewhat more straight.
Ange,
You wanted to know the messages, so I yoinked 'em from my previous posts and put 'em together.
Military Comms:
My Lord, The main docking bay and civilian concourse are secure. We are proceeding into other areas. Soon the station will be ours. -Commander Garoo

My Lord, We've begun moving the civilians to the transport shuttles as planned. The public decks are secure although we've had some trouble finding our way around the maintenance levels; there could still be traitors hiding in that maze. Nonetheless, the shuttles will be ready to launch shortly, and then we won't have to worry about the civilians anymore. -Commander Garoo

Pretty sure the second one was what kicked me out and got me to the TBC:
Gorix: We've got it! They're putting all the civilians onto transport shuttles.
Cylara: That must be where my family is! We've got to go rescue them!
Resistance Leader:The Cybunny scout is there, too. She's the priority. Now get going, before it's too late!

TO BE CONTINUED...

Since I'm bored, here's a summary(in spoilers for those that don't want/need to read it):
20 puzzles, broken down:
5 - 1 mods - Space Weather Reports
5 - 2 mods - Civilian Traffic
5 - 3 mods (with 6 variables) - Maintenance Reports
5 - 3 mods (with 7 variables) - Military Comms

Daze made the connection that the symbols in the codes actually match the symbols of Codestones.
Daze wrote:
The "C" is a Lu Codestone.

The "T" (mushroom or paintbrush) is a Main Codestone.

The "X" is a Mau Codestone.

The "O" or "circle" one is an Orn Codestone.

The "V" with a dot is a Tai-Kai Codestone.

The "8" or "B" is a Vo Codestone.

The "Z" or "%" is a Zei Codestone.

You must complete all of the Space Weather Reports, Civilian Traffic, and Maintenance Reports, and at least *one* of the Military Comms (the one with the shuttles message).

My Recommendations:
-Get through the Space Weather Reports. They're relatively easy.
-Use the helpful links in the first post to figure out your combinations for the 2-mod and 3-mod (6 variables) puzzles
-Use the wonderful(!) generator (patiently) once you get to the 3-mod/7 variable ones. (Unless you're a glutton for punishment and feel like doing it the long, hard way)
**You can leave the page and return at any point prior to unlocking the shuttle message without losing previously completed puzzles, and the remaining ones will stay the same.

Tips for solving puzzles:
Select a spot to solve for. (First or Last symbol is recommended, as they're easies to see)

Example (not a real puzzle):
Given code: 88x88
Modifier 1: ?????
Modifier 2: ?????
Goal: x8xtc

Solve for c: figure out what two symbols (plus the 8 ) give you c, and try all combinations possible.
IE: 8 + c + x = c, and 8 + t + c = c, try all combinations of codes ending with those symbols.

If you are getting the Har Codestone symbol, it means something went wrong. Remove at least one of the modifiers and replace it to regenerate the result. If your whole screen comes up with Hars, go back to the menu and then re-enter that puzzle.

I really hate these puzzles, they take no skill at all; it just takes absolutely forever to complete them.

I've done all the 1st mod encryptions, but I really cannot be bothered to do all the 2 mod ones. There are so many combinations, it's just impractical to go through all of them.

There HAS to be a method of decrypting it, logically, instead of trial and error.

Well, there is.. and it takes some skill
For the second part, I used this page: http://www.neopets.com/~Kyprioth_RakaGod

Took some working out to get a method of analyzing, but it definitely beats just trying them all out

I happened to like this. I "cheated" *coughcoughcough* on the third bit, just because I didn't want to spend weeks trying to search through some of the helpful posted petpages looking for appropriate codes, but the first two were kind of fun. And rewarding, which is odd, considering how much I usually dislike puzzles or anything requiring thinking.

Thanks for the generator! :) I was able to complete all the messages, but I can't get to the TBC page. What am I missing?

*edit* Never mind. All I had to do was refresh the page.
