You know after reading the comic and finally seeing sloth I realize they have changed his look yet again. I wonder how many times they have changed him. He seems kinda facially chubby this time before I always thought of him as a lil more scrawny in the face... maybe its just me... if anyone here is good at looking up pics or happens to have some of the random pics of sloth from past to recent I can't be the only one who'd be interested in seeing these im sure :) plus who doesnt need a break to do something silly after all these dang plot steps lol

Oh boy, I stop working for a couple hours and a new part is up already. I do so hate getting behind. Those few hours could have solved my puzzle (and finished be C themed chart). Ah well, that's how it goes I suppose...

The second part of the puzzle is soooo tedious... it takes, on average, about 30 minutes for each 3-modifier puzzle... and that's just the short ones. I haven't even gotten to the long ones yet... :x

I took a cellblock based approach to knocking out the gaurds that was effective for me. Safe parallels and all that stuff. Not too hard, but that siren .... *ANNOYING*

For anyone having trouble with the 3-mods with O as a possible symbol, the person who made the Blue_Berry and charmander pages has added a page for 3-mods with the O symbol.

Here's a really rather old one from the neopedia:

The rest I'll leave as links. :)

I'm sure there's more out there...

I found the last maze easier than the second-to-last for some reason. As far as plot steps go, it was a much more fun puzzle than the codes. That's just gotten stressful now.

Oddly, the reference tables don't match up to my results... For example, here, the last symbol should be '8' according to http://www.neopets.com/~_Blue___Berry_, but instead it's the 'V'. Have things changed, or are things different for different people?

[edit] Note that all the other symbols are wrong, too.

Hear hear... AySz88, I am getting your results, and I'm not sure why. I have started my own chart in the meantime.

Well, at least that's a 2-mod that's different.

As you can see, X + V + X = the 8 symbol for you. You can figure out what two mods it takes to get the symbol you need and go from there.

EDIT: Out of curiosity is the solution...Nevermind, heh.

heh those are great..... and scary at the same time.. but no two are the same that's for sure!

Also even tho I dont understand it i feel someone else will and so i bring this up from the other page with a large 'huh' from me. If someone can explain this i know there are a TON of people stuck on this particular step and would enjoy the help.

Heh... That encryption puzzle took less than a minute to crack... and by crack, I mean without random guessing :P

HINT:
The modifier "chooses" which character from the key will go in each position. Each modifier character performs an operation on the key to determine that character.

Anyone who played the Myst series should find this kind of thing pretty straight forward.

HINT2:
What are numbers anyways? Aren't they too just symbols

I hope you like linear algebra!

Since the chart seems to not work at all for me (which means Neopets knows that reference charts won't work too well which explains why they allow them), I'm assuming that finding your own symbol combos are the main way to solve this puzzle.

The problem is that there are several different ways to get the same symbol in a message, meaning that it is indeed true that all characters have some type of numerical value assigned to them.

Just a quick note to say that a new petpage and solution guide have been added to the original post for Step 2 of the plot :)

Hehe, I was bored so I dredged up a few more pics:

These are mainly from items, with one game pic and the avatar.
