hmmmm.... my internet is now 'stuck' and won't proccess the result... :( :x

It's these sort of things that annoy me most and make it even more tedious and time consuming.
And yes, it's kinda unfair for us that have to "Not Use" the calculator, thousands of people have done it unwillingly and so won't get frozen... it's not their fault but what have we done so we have to try forever to complete this. Although honestly if my silly internet won't keep getting stuck then I would complete the rest in 3 hours max.

I felt the same way when I was working on my 3 mods, but now I've finished it I'm proud that I managed to solve it without that calculator. :)

Well TNT barely gave us any time at all for this part and even released the next step but TNT, PLEASE release the next part a bit later (give us more time), because even when we finish this part (the decoding) we still have to do the escape the gaurds game so please give us more time! Really as I said 3 hours max is how much it takes me but I can't dedicate my whole life to neopets and 3 hours is waaaaay too much of time for me to spend on just neo.

Oh and my internet is still stuck........ :x :x :x :x

YES! It took me several attempts but I finally got past those cursed guards!

AAAAAUUUUUUGH!!!!! :x

OK. I went through my own number chart, (that by the way took me about 4 hours to make on Excel) picked out ALL the combinations that work for one of my 7 symbol 3 mods, and tried all the variations of the symbol combos. NONE OF THEM WORKED! Apparently I missed one symbol of some type somewhere when systematically going through. So I'm starting over again. Did I mention that this is the LASTmessage available to me? I've sweated my way though all the other 3 mods... GAH!

That *same* thing happened to my husband last night when he was going through the nice checklist I made him of all the possible combinations. In the end, he was finally able to get it - he made a wild guess as to which set he thought he might've skipped a combo or two on, and got it finally.
He then proceeded to zip through the 3rd puzzle, managing to (to my irritation) get through the last puzzle on his first try with only taking out one guard - they parted and let him pass.

I guess I don't hafta spend my day finding solutions for the 7-symbols since the nice person who created the other two charts did it. Ah well.

Karnatu, I doubt they'll shut it down immediately - in LDP, we were still able to go back and complete the tombs part pretty much until the plot ended. (of course, you couldn't really do anything until you did the tombs part, but yeah.)

Why are people going through all the 3 mods ??

you just have to get through one of the 3 mods without the O and then find the 3 mod with the O that is commander garoos message. that's how i got to the next step, i didnt touch the other 3 mods at all. I picked the O mod that was long and got lucky. after about 2 hours of work though.

Some of us unfortunately didn't know that before we'd done it - I think that was only really said starting last night. In my husband's case, he was unlucky enough to not find the shuttle message until the absolutely last military comm he did.

ohh :( that must have been bad.

someone said that there might be more prizes/marks given out for completing all the mods but i'm just not certain i could take the insanity, and carpal tunnel syndrome :cry:

I actually really liked that last part (the maze with the guards). But they should have given more time for the decryption going on. Those puzzles are hard...

Hard is an understatement, more of a waste of time, brain matter and wrist elasticity which could lead to symptoms of stress.

FINALLY!!! I got through the third part. Though I got caught a few times, it was still a BREEZE compared to the tedious, frustrating second part. Rejoice when you finish the second part, because you'd be ready for the next parts of the plot... and they should all be pretty easy compared to the hacking.

well seeing as I still have yet to get microsoft office for my mac, I dont exactly have excel, but i should be getting it tomorrow......

when are they going to take down the mod code puzzles?
It would be an incredible help for me to time manage and get myself into gear so I can actually get this step of the plot done!

Not only did I finally crack my last 3 mod, I also finished step 3 in about 8 minutes flat. YAY!

How many people do you think squeeked through by cheating anyway? They can't have gotten many of the "silent offenders" frozen. (Mind you, I used the calculator myself on one of my 3 mods, BEFORE tnt made their oppinion clear.)

I did step two before the "cheat" program was available. It took a very long time with pen and paper to find the code. I originally tried random combinations with the correct first and second "symbol results" for the three code problems but found was taking too long. I then mapped the entire answer on paper which took a while but I feel it was easier than multiple guessing (and God forbid if you missed a combination). For the one and two code puzzles I just did an exhaustive combination pairing strategy. It was quick.

However here is my question. It seems that people are still worried about being frozen either from using the program before it was proclaimed illegal. Or by finishing the level 3 puzzles in relatively few attempts. Has anyone any knowledge of anyone's account being frozen since the announcement other than the gentleman who created the program in the first place? o_O
