Can't see any new clues yet.
Most people are presuming that the plot will following what was originally planned for the plot before it was cancelled. The mines was going to be a part of this plot in 2004, so it seems it will still be used this time.

Short update, for what it was worth. We might not get anymore until next week, but I'm hoping for the weekend update to at least bring us a step. Maybe we'll get to play with that CD? That would be fun...

You would think it would have to be something to do with the CD just by the way she is holding it. I have tried clicking on it, but there is no link there. Any other ideas?

I'm working thought the source code now. Nothing yet though.

That was me.
Short comic, but I'm excited to see where it goes.

Right from the 1st split, we were discussing the mine and the grundos:
Maybe fighting Grundo factions? That would make for some side-taking and battling.
Hey! Does anyone else remember how TNT once said there was a story behind why purple pets have orange spots that tied in to the Dr. Sloth plot? Maybe we'll actually find out!!!
I am also hoping to FINALLY see what is inside the Kreludan Mining Corp.
Given that we've still got that "enter authorization" section on Kreludor, I feel pretty confident that it'll be more than just a war.
I hope that TNT did incorporate the mining corp into this plot and somehow that sad little blue grundo.
But anyway, with this plot I think we are supposed to figure out what happened between the purple grundo and the orange ones. Something happened and when they finally made peace with one another, all the purple grundo had to have orange spots and every purple pet suddenly also had to have orange spots.

Really?
I recall it being me! (Or at least me trying to put combos into the mine).
As for grundos, what about the poor plushie left in faerieland?

Goodness! I can't believe that I'm
finally caught up! It took forever, but I'm done!

Good luck to everyone still working on Parts 02 and 03. You'll get it eventually!

No has made it into the mines yet? I've tried lots of different codes, no luck. Will this be a step in the plot, to find the correct code?

We need to get information on
what numbers to put into the mine. Without a clue or step to give us the information we will not get in there.
A guess would be the information is on the disc - next step maybe?

I'm sure multiple people have brought it up at different times.

Maybe we have to locate the disc, but at least listen to it somehow. I tried just a few minutes ago to enter the 1342 code at the Mines, just in case the code becames useful by now, but it still doesn't work.

There are a few cd's around Neopia, mostly concert swag. I tried viewing the last page of the comic with a M*ynci cd in my inventory, nada. But my first thought was the Strange Glowing Disc from Underwater Fishing. Unfortunately there only a handful of those around and all are in galleries, so I couldn't try that.
Didn't there used to be some cd's you could buy from the toy shop? I seem to remeber buying one of those for my pet on my old account. Or maybe the cd's, they do nothing.

I think we just have to wait. I don't think they'd have us listen to a rare cd fished up from the bottom of the ocean or then only a few people could do it, and it wouldn't be fair.
There is an interesting post on the boards just now. Someone theorizes that The Scout is Cylara from the future. That would make things a bit interesting if Cylara ran into herself. Well, the scout, we don't really know her name. She wouldn't be able to tell everyone she was Cylara, so she'd just be Scout. I doubt that Neopets would throw a loop into the story like that. Time travel hurts my brain..
Fri Feb 15, 2008 3:44 am
There obviously is some kind of mystery attached to the Scout, since they are making a point of not giving us her name.
So, anyway, here's another wild bit of speculation. I posted more or less idly on that time travel thread that Gorix bears a striking resemblance to the Grundo Warehouse blue grundo. By coincidence, the Warehouse is another place you can enter a code, and it gives you items. Maybe it could give out cd's, if you found the right 15 or 10 digit number somewhere?
I dont think I've discovered anything, mind, I'm just casting as wide a net as possible here. There are some numbers in the source code, but nothing obvious the right length for either the warehouse or the mine. Where else could we try to find a number, or a key to coming up with one?
