Do you use the NeoBoards?

I'll sometimes use the Faerie Quest help if I'm in a hurry because PPT's forum can be a little slower. But usually I wait in the PPT forum because sometimes on the boards, the prices I'm given are too high for an item (once someone posted only one shop -- what I can only suspect was their own mall on another account). PPTers seem to actually refresh and get the lowest price for you (or use the SSW) -- I know I do when I'm helping a quester.

The only other time I lurk is when the Lenny Conundrum comes out if I can't get it -- there's often someone giving out hints. Most of the LC'ers are older/more mature/more intelligent than the average Neoboarder (you rarely see a "definately" and never any chatspeak), and I've never seen a big issue with "I'm reporting you." Usually people only give oblique hints in the right direction (which is how I prefer it -- I enjoy the challenge of figuring it out myself), though rarely someone will post the answer. There are the annoying people who post "I can't believe you haven't gotten it; it was so easy that I got it in 2.2 seconds." But they usually post once to gloat and move on.

I've only lurked on the Altador Cup board when it was happening, being involved with current news was the only way I could keep on going playing those tedious games..

I use the Premium boards, and sometimes the quest board.

I used to go to avatar chat and the Kadoatery boards a few years ago. Then, avatars were released much less frequently, and I got the Kadoatie avatar, and dropped off Neopets...

So a while back, I used to. I quite enjoyed it, too.

The Premium boards are one of the few safe havens that the NeoBoards have.

OMG! Don't even mention the neoboards in front of me. *heart attack* Before my old account was frozen, I used to be a devoted HCer, helping people in need. When the incident had happened, I became scared of the neoboards because it was a place to look for trouble. After I stopped grieving for my old account and created a new one, I avoided the boards like the plague, stopping sometimes to check the insanity but never post in them. I am glad I found the PPT forums. It is WAY much better, even though it is slow and inactive.

That's too bad I stay in the safety of the BD Chat, where most of us use proper grammar and spelling and follow most of the rules Although I avoid the AC like the plague because of all the bad people that are there (there are still good people in the AC, but the amount of bad people there is just scary)

Now I hardly use the boards, but when I do, I use the AC, and the NW. The NW is just cause most people use proper grammar and all, and the AC is fun. I'm in G.A.M.E., which is basically an AC chat group for getting game avs ^_^

I occasionally dabble in the Newbie board, if only to laugh to myself about the pretentious tweenies. I go when I need a lark. My favourite threads are the ones about music, where everyone tries to name the most obscure band possible.

I remember the old days, when the board were actually useful. That was seven years ago, for me.

I actually use the Neoboards a fair deal.
I go on the Rooligans boards which are at the moment on the TRODS board, and are normally on either the current plot board, the AC board, or the Virtupets board.
But I can't venture outside them because anything else is just total spam. And not even good spam
