I realise there are things wrong with it, but I was pretty pleased, and she really liked it Also my camera isn't great and it makes the colours look different from how they look to the eye- I think that's something to do with how certain pigments absorb light?

This is water colors right? Or thin acrylics? Watercolors are penetrated by light, they're somewhat clear; they're not like acrylics/oils so thats why the light goes through and tends to 'wash' things out or wonk with the colors. But still very nice!
