Dungeon Dash

1st level - Snowmuncher: Use spade to dig blocks, use space bar to jump.
2nd level - Turmac Roll: Use bubble to roll over mud and spring to jump over trees.
3rd level - Destructomatch: Use spade to dig blocks, helmet to block falling blocks (I didn't see this the first time), space bar to jump (2 high).
4th level - Ice-cream Machine: Use shield (up to this bit, more to come)

I use my mouse to click on the tools (keys are just too hard to remember) and have a hand ready to use the space bar. The characters move forward by themselves, so you do not need the arrow keys.

Rarrg! I keep getting caught at the Destrucomatch level! Any tips? lol

Edited to add: Found these tips on items/tools and levels on the Neoboards:
1. Snowmucher- Shovel to dig snow

2. Turmac Roll- Bubble to roll on hills and mud

3. Destruct O Match- Super Jump to go past the big blocks and helmet which is for protecting yourself from falling blocks

4. Ice Cream Machine- Shield which protects you from ice cream. Super jump, bubble, and shovel will come in handy.

5. Stowaway Sting- All 5 tools will be used.

dungeon dash- it's more annoying than hard.
This is what I know so far:
You can't control your character much, Abi or AAA will just run forward unless you make them jump (space) or use a tool (click on it). You can't make them stop or go backward.
  • shovel- dig out the snow walls in the snowmuncher level
  • bubble- roll over holes in turmac roll level; this is a bit buggy, sometimes you have rolled over the hole but your character will be 'running in place' after, like the game thinks he/she is stuck in it. jump and you will resume running forward
  • spring- jump higher, stumps in turmac roll, high block piles in destruct-o-match, etc
  • helmet- avoid falling blocks in destruct-o-match (keep it on all the time, the darned blocks don't appear until they're on top of you and the game's collision detection is very buggy and slanted towards hits)
  • shield- avoid ice cream cones in ice cream machine, except for the TPOSG cone, which is bonus points.
the game seems to be bugged though; I played twice, sent the score once- the second time it said "d'oh can't send score in offline mode" even if I was online. Also some things will kill you instantly (regardless of lives), some things will only take a life.
It seems to run slooowly and the animation is choppy, like you're playing on an old arcade game.
The idea is cute, but I don't like the way they implemented it- you should be able to stop and start your character, as well as make him/her go backwards, because the game requires a lot of timing and sometimes you will miss a tool by overshooting it when you jump. No idea what the prize is either, didn't finish the challenge on the account of getting really annoyed at the game (not much of a platformer fan)

Is it running really slowly for everyone else? AAA looks like he's running through treacle! I thought it was just the game but now I notice my computer is running very slowly as well.

yeah it is slooooow, also it maxes out both my CPU's and my RAM- and this is on a fairly powerful computer. there is a memory leak somewhere in that game.

I shut it down and closed firefox, and when I restart it is running much better. Thank goodness, I was dying of boredom waiting for anything to happen before!

ETA the most annoying thing about this game is that sometimes the way the helmet is positioned in DoM you end up running right over it. Then you can't avoid losing and you have to start playing all over again!

It's wearable and the AAA score is only 7,500. Now on to try Roothless...

Edit: And Dungeon Dare is unavailable. Eh?

So this means that the Dungeon Dare and the rest of the daily dares are mutually exclusive?

They should warn you about that more explicitly. I definitely assumed you could do both. I wonder how this will affect the prizes you get at the end. (I suspect it means that ice cream hat you got will be worth a pretty penny since it's wearable and only obtainable by people who rejected the ruthless challenge and then beat AAA)

You can do both...just click on the ice cream machine name in the challenges list and it will show you AAA and abigail's scores to beat like normal. Then you can still accept the Dungeon Dare challenge.

I can't get more than a few seconds into the ice cream level without the baddie catching me. Frustrating...

I haven't been able to get past the ice cream level either although I've probably been able to get at least halfway through it. What seems to work best on the ice cream things on the ground, the bubble? They always slow me down...

Nothing works against the flying icecream for me- even with the shield I lose a life as soon as one hits me.

I just keep clicking the shield continuously unless I have to click on something else like the spring.
