I have one computer. Just one. My dad has a laptop which I use when we go on vacation, but otherwise, I'm stuck with a so-so Windows.

Haha, do I have a computer at home.

I have a laptop. My mother has a laptop. My father has a laptop. My father also has a desktop (greedy!). My father also has a PDA (see previous comment). We've also just gotten rid of our other desktop which was replaced by my mother's laptop.

Put it this way: I grew up with a father who worked at Hewlett Packard for 20 years, and Windows 3.1. I've been around computers all my life, which is why I've been able to fix so many technical problems. This is my third laptop (although the first I've paid for myself - it was because my high school had a compulsory laptop program from year 7 onwards).

You could say I've had my share of computers :P

Gone, forever.

OK guys! calm down. I didn't mean to offend anyone. I just wanted to see if my friend is telling the truth. Obviously, after reading your posts, he is not so the next time I see him, he will be DEAD MEAT! *Rubs fists into hands*

I've had computers as long as i can remember. I remember when i was young and i used to play on my dad's computer. Then when i was in junior school and i got my very own computer (an atari) it was amazing! And then i was the first person i knew who had a hard disk drive! (which you had to turn on half an hour before you wanted to use it). Now kiddies, bear in mind that this was probably '91/'92.

Having said that though, i dont think the best way to find out how much of a population have computers is via an internet forum. I think the perception that people used the internet in librarys etc wasn't totally inaccurate a few years ago, but more and more people have it now. Although i'm still shocked when i hear people don't have the internet at home... i couldnt live without the internet at home!

So yes, I do. :D

Indeed I do.
This is what I'm currently using.

It may not be the most "up-to-date" thing out there, but it's good enough to perform the tasks I want it to perform.

I have a laptop. I got it when I graduated from high school.

There are SIX computers in my house. My dad, mom, and brother have a regular desktop computer, and my sister and I have a laptop. My dad also has a laptop that he bought from one of his coworkers for like $300. We don't have so many computers on purpose.

I recently bought my first PC... *hugs it*

I've posted that I was computer-less for a little over a year, I lived with my sis before and she had a desktop my bro fixed up for her. Speaking of my bro, he must have 3 or 4 desktops and at least 2 laptops I know of. It's allowed, he fixes them up for people :)

I live alone, but I'm pretty sure my cat uses it when I'm not home *shifty eyes*
