I choose the Purple Mystery Capsule and got an Autumn Leaves background (yay) and a Mechanical Music Track (erm...?). Perhaps that second item would have worked better if I chose to zap one of my pets robot with my plot points. :-P

EDIT: I had better luck on my side, where I got Gypsy Girl Skirt, Winged Altadorian Sandals, and a Creepy Meepit Hat from the same capsule.

I think it's kinda handy, though, to have it there when you're browsing. Cause our gut instinct is already to look there for how much we have out in NPs to purchase things.
So long as it sticks to just the NCMall pages, I'm not gonna complain.

It's showing up for me absolutely everywhere. I hate it, I keep getting confused and clicking it instead of my NP to go to my inventory. It's pretty dumb, because those who actually buy NC won't use it NEAR as often as NP so I don't see why having it in the top bar is necessary. Stop trying to push this on us TNT, we know it exists already!

I have Premium and still have the NC link at the top of every page.

It doesn't worry me, it is small enough not to be annoying - I actually forget that the links are there and still use my Inventory link in favourites to get to my items.

Maybe if you don't have any NC it goes away? My sister was on and she didn't get her free nc and she didn't have the link.
