I use Windows. Linux seems like it would be interesting to try, but I'm a chicken. I don't know anything about the whole open-source thing, and I'm afraid that I'd manage to royally screw something up.

There's no sense in buying it

You could easily go to
http://www.linuxiso.org and download one of the ISO's (an entire image of a CD) and burn it to a CD-R. It probably should be done on a broadband connection, as each ISO can get up to be about 700-800 MB.
And DM, I can easily see where people can get that, my Knoppix does the same thing. Linux starts itself up right when you turn it on, but the GUI takes a bit longer, and that's why none of the icons show up before it says that

Gosh. To be a year younger than me, you know more about Linux then I do. o.o But, technically, Lindows is 'Linux for Dummies'. I'm still in the 'dummy' category for Linux.

Play the linux CD backwards, and you'll hear satanic messages.
That's nothing though, play it forward and it'll install linux.

I have no experience of Linux, I've always used Windows for as long as I can remember, so Windows it is then. ^_^
