I'm Christine, though my own mother calls me Pudding lately.
Re: What's your real name?
Jonathan or Jonathon. I'm not actually sure
I changed to Jonny about 6 or 7 years ago, and haven't used Jonathan/on since.

I'm going to let you guys guess what my real name is.

You strike me as a Sergio. Or possibly Larry.

Jessica; middle name Lee (which I hate and have shortened to L. on most legal documents). Family nicknames include Monkeyface, Julep, Jessiquita Bonita, Lizzy Jit, and Germ Girl. Some of my friends call me Jess, which I tolerate (though if you're a salesman, jump back if you try), but I absolutely loathe Jessie. Of course, I formed a project group with three boys from my class for a business plan competition, and they decided to start calling me "Jessie Lee." Never let men know you don't like a name. A few of our other classmates have tried to start calling me Jessie now, too, but I'll keep fighting the battle.
Siniri (really Sínírí) is a smushed together version of my "Irish" name -- after being called "Sheshica" by one of my Irish tutors, I decided to select an Irish name for myself -- Síofra. It's pronounced "SHE-fruh" and means "precocious faerie-changeling child" (you might as well pick a name that means something good, right?).

Blue graffitied on my signature... But it made me laugh, so it's all good!

Yes, yes, and I think you're an Anderson. Maybe a Cooper?

No, I never officially left; yes, I am gone forever. I have also permanently left AIM. If you need to contact me, drop a line on LJ. Same username.
Re: What's your real name?
My name is Mary. I don't mind if you tack on my middle name, Frances. Yes, I'm Catholic. That's not why they picked it, both names are family names.
My last name starts with Sh so I smooshed my names and that is where I got Mash, although I do like the show ^^
EDIT - Back to the fighting with teachers... My father once came home crying from school because the teacher refused to use short names or nicknames, he didn't believe his name was Bernard. My Aunt Rosie had called him Skip his whole life, he's a Jr.

Yay for smooshed names! Or mashed names, in your case...
My last name's really easy to pronounce (sort of like "Smith") -- it's an actual word, but we get really weird mispronunciations. On my dad's first day of junior high, they gathered them all in the auditorium and called up the new kids by class. He went when they called "Robert Daniel" + weird pronunciation of our last name. In the classroom, he stood up when the teacher called the same weird pronunciation -- but so did some other kid (whose name it actually was)! Meanwhile, my grandmother had been called to the school because my dad hadn't shown up to class (and she was laying into them about losing her son)...

Austin.
DM, why this aversion to people using your real name? I must know! And does this apply to real life as well?

Re: What's your real name?
Elaine Kathleen Lucy (insert last name here).
Kathleen is the middle name I was born with, but Lucy is my confirmation name, and so I like to use both.
Some friends are permitted to call me Lainey.
