Man, that was a long movie. I didn't really know what was going on for a good quarter of the movie. Granted, I hadn't seen the second movie since it was out in theatres, but still... I thought that Captain Barbossa was the most entertaining of the bunch.

Yeah...you really need to see the first two in order to understand the third...those movies definitely don't stand alone. If you saw the other two, you'd know that it is flipping awesome.

The Andromeda Strain

It was roughly the point where the Wormhole opened up and the Alien "Virus" came through in a nanotech container that I thought to myself. "This isn't creative design. You didn't read the book, did you?"

Edit:
And Part 2.

And self contained Temporal Paradoxes fill me with NERD RAGE.
It's called a Paradox for a reason you know. :x

King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters

I have no idea why this wasn't nominated for the Best Documentary Oscar. It's the horribly entertaining tale of a guy who tries to win the world record high score in Donkey Kong, and the bemulleted hot sauce salesman/restaurateur reigning champion who tries to stop him. Stuff happens! It is dramatic, and horribly dorky, and the best movie I've seen in ages.

(Yes, I know parts of it were edited to make Billy Mitchell look more evil, but...I don't really care. It's a great movie.)

Iron Man
I wasnt Iron Man's biggest fan when it came to the comics, I usually would only read them if there was nothing else, but I have to say I thought this movie lived up to them.
Robert Downey Jr IS Tony Stark. HE IS!
I was seriously impressed with just even the subtle details such as how you keep seeing Stark with a drink, which of course references his alcohol problem in the comics. I was even more impressed by how similar Downey Jr was to the comic. Appearance wise I mean.
Gwen Paltrow I thought was actually like-able in this movie. I'm not her biggest fan when it comes to movies but I thought she was great as Pepper Potts.

I do have to say that my favourite moment of this movie was near the end. Terrence Howard turns around and sees the Mark 2 armour, and at this point my friend Hallam and I freaked out. I seriously was going "OMG War Machine! In this movie!"
What made me grin was when Rhodes just says "Next Time Baby". That just made me fall in love with Iron Man/Tony Stark all over again aswell as going gaga for Downey Jr.

I also liked the fact that in this movie they chose to use a lesser known villian(The Iron Monger) rather than something else. Good Move Jon Favereu.
I definitely enjoyed this movie, I went to see it TWICE!
I'll be in line for the sequel ;)

just a heads up to everyone, stick around after the credits. There's a little surprise and It's worth it :D

Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull--fun times. But ARGH on the fact that it was straight action, no rising or falling action. More like driving a car than riding a roller coaster.

Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull - I really enjoyed it, although I thought the sound could have been a bit better done. The plot was fun and 'Jones'-e-like.

Sweeney Todd - Ridiculously gorey, but still lovely in a kind of dark and artistic way. And Helena Bonham Carter is brilliant.

Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian - Good movie, with a decent plot. I did enjoy the first movie more however.

Jeepers Creepers - Quite obviously B-list. So totally NOT scary.
But it had Justin Long in it, and he makes everything better.

I just got back from Indy 4. I have mixed feelings, but more good than bad. Story was alright, I agree with the comment about the sound. It did have a bit of an "Aww, shucks" ending, but this is the last one and let's face it, all the movies had that kind of end. I mean, what kind of world would we be in if it weren't for Indiana Jones kicking butt?

Indiana Jones 4. It was good. Not as good as the originals, but good, nonetheless. I'll probably purchase it. :)
