This topic really interests me actually.....

If you did have a time machine then what would you do with it?
Personally, if I had one I'd go back in time and meet James Dean just for the hell of it.

Either that or buy myself a vintage car and motorbike and somehow bring it back to the future

It can be completely ridiculous, or it can be personal, I'm just curious

I would most probably go back to that day when I fell on my bike, and my knee got permanently injured for the rest of my life. I'd travel to the minute before the accident to take another route or something

I too have thought long and hard on this subject. The number one thing I would do would be to try and change my life so I would not end up as such a wuss when it comes to social situations. Knowing that would probably ruin my friendships I have now, I quickly and easily dismiss the whole idea and instead do the common 'Hollywood style' cop out and say that I would not want to mess with such technologies.

(My second thought would be to go back and try to make the world more energy efficient back in the 50s so that we would have more resources today. Such an eco-nut answer )

I"d go back to the womb and be clever enough not to get tangled up like this. Even though I wish it didnt, my birth defect has always made me shy and unhappy.

Or maybe I'd go forward in time and see whats going to happen after Im gone. Im always jealous of little babies because they're going to see humans advance farther than I will.

Travel back in time, win lottery, invest money, collect back in present.

I would prevent the 9/11 attacks.

I'm not sure that's a good idea. While it's horrible that people died, it may be better for the world that it happened and woke us up to the threat of radical Islam. Had it not happened, Saddam would still be in power, Al-Qaeda would still be carrying out terrorist attacks all over the world, and we would still be blind to that threat. Another attack would happen in the future, but who knows how many people would die in that one?

I'd go back to 2003 and patch a few things up.

I'd go back to when I quit sports/girl scouts/ballet (back when I was 9...a long time ago) and not quit...and I would have started piano lessons too...My life would be a lot different, methinks, if I would have stayed in those things.

Contrary to popular belief, I would not be going back in time to right the wrongs of my life.
Oh no.
I would be going back in time with an army of like minded sociopaths (there are enough of us) and set up the grand empire of the once and future king (...Asthaloth. Obviously) and seeing as we are using a machine that violates a fundamental law of space time, I'm gonna be immortal too.
And have a Dinosaur.


Failing my glorious empire of the black sun, I would be going back in time with a single like minded sociopath, and just generally ruining the earth right from the off, simply knowing I created a reality where humanity faltered as it emerged would be plenty enough to fuel my Misanthropic rage.

I'd go to when I was an immature brat and make a better impression on those who are now my friends.

I would also get into acting early on and make sure my parents knew it was a major interest of mine so they might be more supportive and I'd've had more opportunities to act.

And I would sign up with a certain website in or before June 2003 and be smarter about obtaining and hoarding certain virtual items.

And then I would go make some bets and win some lotteries. Then I could move out and never worry about money. (I'm not exactly the type to go buying ten yachts and fifty big-screen TVs the minute I get my hands on some riches. Food, shelter, plumbing, electricity, decent internet...)

Oh boy, the things I'd do.

I would continue taking ballet lessons, as boring as they were, so I could be a ballerina.

And I'd probably not take IB Art, so that art wouldn't be ruined for me and I could still do it now.

And stuff.

I would travel forward a week to find out next weeks winning lottery numbers and then travel back to present time once I have them and I would use those same numbers to become a Millionare.

I would convince myself to drop out of high school for my senior year, work and save up some money, get my GED, and start college in the fall at the same time I did anyway.
And save my Latin teacher's phone number so that I wouldn't be wondering what happened to her.
