Can I put a background on my draik?

I have a Darigan Draik. I have not converted it to the new art style and I do NOT want to. Is there any way for me to add a background to it without having to convert to the new art style?

I believe backgrounds and other objects that are not actually put on the Neopet itself can be used with old artwork. I have an old Plushie Quiggle with an item in the background as well.

All unconverted pets can wear backgrounds and trinkets, but that's about it.

Thanks! Good to hear I can put a background on my old style darigan draik. How do I do it, though? I know how I'd do it for a regular pet, but I don't want to do something wrong and end up with the new style of artwork. Will it come up with a warning confirmation before converting the pet?

Go to your Quick Ref. Click the drop down arrow next to the pet you want to put the background on, and select "Customize." It will load the customization window, but don't worry you haven't converted and still have old artwork. The only way you will convert is by clicking the conversion button.

Just put a background on my unconverted Darigan Hissi and everything is fine.
