Hi...i just wanted to know What Happens When U Take A Neopet To The Pound....? like can u get ur pet back........does neopoint get taken away? anything?

If you abandon your pet, there is a fee of a certain amount of Neopoints and it is not likely you'll be able to get your pet back. To do that you'd have to find it in the Pound super quick, then pay another NP fee to adopt it.

Why would the Dr. give us NP to abandon the pet? In the scheme of things, you have to pay to abandon pets at a shelter.

To adopt, the nps needed are at the top of the adoption page - adoption fees are based on the pets stats and/or colour.

To Abandon:

If you abandon a Neopet, you have to pay the pound 250 NP in fees.

Warning! - Neopets that are higher than Level 2, Neopets that are limited-edition species, and Neopets that have been painted with certain rare or expensive paint brushes CANNOT be adopted from accounts that have been active for less than four months. For this reason, be careful when abandoning a Neopet if you're planning on trying to re-adopt it!

Important! - If you abandon your Neopet, any attached Petpet will go with it. Also, once you abandon your Neopet, absolutely anybody can adopt it. There is no guarantee you will be able to get your Neopet back if you change your mind.
