After losing expensive items and a large amount of NP to the Trading Post a few months ago, I am wary of using it again. I received a Golden Nerkmid (sp?) in a random event and want to put it in the Trading Post, and don't want to lose again.

Has anyone heard that the TP is OK to use again?

What about the auctions? I've never used that, is it safe? Can you set it so that if the amount bid is less than you want that you don't have to sell your item?

I'm not entirely sure if the Trading Post is safe or not. I believe it's okay if you're the one setting up the trade, but I'm still wary of bidding on a trade due to the possibility of not getting my stuff back if my offer is rejected.

As for auctions, there isn't a place for you to say "if my item doesn't sell for x amount of Neopoints, I want my item back" - it's a gamble in that regard. But you could always start your auction at the amount you want, or close to it, and just hope luck is on your side :)

It appears to be safe, at least for now. There may still be glitches, but I haven't heard any reports of glitches in a while.

Thank you very much, everybody, for the feedback. I may give it a try.

My friend bid on a Paint Brush for 800K, the user accepted the bid, my friend's 800K disappeared, and POOF... no paintbrush. This was about 2 months ago. She still hasn't heard back from TNT. I don't think I'll ever use the TP again for more than a couple hundred K!
