I have to admit, though, that I'm running out of things to watch in the other window--I've caught up on Bleach, gone through all of The Invisible Man, X-Men: Evolution, Justice League/Justice League Unlimited, and Brimstone, and I'm halfway through season 3 of Avatar. I may have to break out the really old stuff before it's all over.

Congrats to the new All-Stars. Hope others near it can also reach the same before the cup ends. I am not playing today till the site responds better - I am losing too many MSN scores for my liking. BTW, I have decided to go for the 7500 MSN game mark. I hope that's enough to be in the top 3 list.
Some things I know about the plot points:
Apart from my logic on YYB goals being counted towards plot points in a previous thread, the same has been suggested by others too. Also nobody could prove that YYB wins count or do not count towards the prizes - that said, people with no wins/draws but with goals have got some plot points in Altador Cup II, though in those cases, it is not sure if the goals actually counted or there was some points for participation. However, people who have only enrolled but did not play, did not get any points, so participation in this case would mean that you have actually played some games.
It is hazier in the side games - So far nobody could prove that the submitted score matters or not. Even it is not yet proven if below cut-off scores are excluded from plot points or not, though the fact that they do not count towards the rank and they do count in the overall top 3 player standings has been proven. Also it has been established that MSN and SS participation with respect to YYB participation carried more weight towards plot points than the weights used to determine the rank (as in rank 8 player playing YYB only has got lesser points than, say, a rank 6 player playing side games only).
That said it is anybody's guess what will TNT decide this time for the plot points.

Wasn't expecting Shenkuu to sweep Darigan, so that was a nice bonus, and another proof that we are playing relatively better than we were in the first round. I don't know if we can quite make it into the top four- looks as though that final spot will go to either Meridell or Kreludor.

I don't think so. The draw against RI in YYB more or less means Kreludor is out, Shenkuu is in. These are the totals:
Kreludor YYB 17-9-3, SS 15-4-10, MSN 18-4-7
Shenkuu YYB 16-10-3, SS 15-5-9, MSN 21-4-4
Kreludor has one draw more in YYB (as 1 win=2 draw), but one less draw in SS, and 3 less wins in MSN. Assuming both sweeps in the last round, 3 win + 1 draw in sides is worth more than a draw in YYB, unless the weights are below 0.14 for sides.

Meridell YYB 15-9-5, SS 20-5-4, MSN 11- 7-11
Even if Meridell's SS (+5 wins) more than offsets Shenkuu's YYB (1 win, 1 draw), they have too much of a difference in MSN (8 wins and 1 draw behind).
So, last year's 3rd-4th place match will be repeated.
And I am glad to play a 2+2 team after slugging thru 3+1 and 1+3 line ups.

Oh, thanks for explaining that. I haven't been properly analysing it, it just seemed on the face of it they had a stronger position.

When does the tournament end? I'm still trying to make it to level 1, but I'm not sure I want to bother after all the difficulties I've been having with score submissions the last 1.5 days. I hate YYB enough without having my score not count! And MSN hurts my hands after a while...

Last day of games will be Sunday. Today is the last day of the double round robin, the next 4 days are semi finals and finals.

Thanks, Pickles. I made it and got the avatar! I know it's pathetic compared to you hardcore guys, but after the Daily Dare debacle, I just can't make myself care about Neopets games that much -- especially games that I don't enjoy, such as YYB. I discovered that I could start a game of SS and play 2 games of MSN before I had to do anything in the SS game. Then I could clear the fast row then go back and play another game (or 2 if I was fast/lucky) of MSN (while I was collecting the glasses) before I reached the minimum score for SS. So I managed to get to first rank only playing 7 games of YYB.

Shenkuu in the finals!!! What a comeback!

I'm glad because I've still got 275 games before I reach All Star, and now all the rest of my games will be against 2+2 teams!

How weird though, I really thought the 2+2 formation would be a disadvantage to Shenkuu because it's so much easier to play against, but every team in the top four is a 2+2!

2+2 is easier to play against, but maybe the strength of these top four teams were more, though KR was near SK. I calculated my average goals scored in TY and TM matches, which were back-to-back and found I scored about 1 goal/game less in TY match which had 1+3 formation. 3+1 is further difficult to play I reckon but I do not have any such stat.

Also KR with a vertical goalie was more difficult to play than other 2+2 teams.

BTW, my semi-final scores are not updating? Anybody facing same problems?

Apparently anything above 1-0 is not submitting! I haven't tried a 1-0 game to see if it's true though.
