Let's Talk About Rick Astley.
Rickrolls, I mean.
I know it's not April Fools Day anymore, but the more unlucky of us keep getting Rickrolled (my most recent [not counting a video I clicked on the YouTube thread] being Monday night's episode of the Daily Show with Jon Stewart).
So, let's talk:
- How many times have you Rickrolled someone
- How many times have you been Rickrolled
- Rickrolling techniques
I've been Rickrolled...god, I lost count at twenty. D;
And I'm proud to say I Rickrolled the entire listening audience of WFBC-FM a couple weeks back. I love Dino. 8D

Re: Let's Talk About Rick Astley.
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
(Steal the rhythm while you can.)

I don't think I've ever actually been Rickrolled. I suppose I should be thankful.

I don't think I have ever been Rickrolled. What does that mean, anyways? I am so out of the loop...

Once, it was in The Music Playing In Your head (Split 6) topic to which DM had these words.

Once, it was Monday night on June 14th 2008 and I was watching WWE Raw and this occured as someone had Rick Astley's Never Gonna Let Down song as their ringtone.

It is very simple, if you hear Rick Astley's Never Gonna Let Down song unexpectedly then you have been Rickrolled.

Re: Let's Talk About Rick Astley.
I didn't know what rickrolling was, but my decision & information analysis professor e-mailed our class the solutions to previous year's exams -- but he included a link for the current semester's exam as well. Knowing he was a prankster, I hovered, saw it was a youtube video, and clicked it to see the joke -- then googled Rick Astley to figure out what the heck the joke was. So does that count? If so, the answer is exactly once. If not, then I've never fallen for it. Yet.

Blue graffitied on my signature... But it made me laugh, so it's all good!

1. A few hundred - a few thousand times at least
2. Maybe 20-30 times
3. My neoHTML has lyrics to Never Gonna Give You Up

I've never been Rickrolled, or Rickrolled anyone.
And I've never even heard the song.
And I've never even heard the song.
Gone, forever.
Re: Let's Talk About Rick Astley.
My uncle rickrolled me. I mean, what the heck?
1. At least a hundred.
2. At least fifty.
3. Squash as many obscure memes into one sentence, and add the Never Gonna Give You Up lyrics. Or send someone to Encyclopedia Dramamtica, chances are they'll stumble upon a link within a minute.

Re: Let's Talk About Rick Astley.
I was Rickrolled by Youtube last April Fools. I lost count of how many times I've done it to others or how many times it has been done to me. I still find the song hilarious. Usually, my friends are a bit more evil when they trick you into clicking on something.

Re: Let's Talk About Rick Astley.
I've really only been good and rick rolled once. Everything else was either a rick rolling of an entire crowd or the song randomly coming on over the radio (which I don't think counts).
But there's a guy I work with who makes mix CDs of all this techno music....mostly European stuff. I've liked the stuff her puts together. But one of his CDs began and ended with Rick Astley and he didn't tell us. I popped the disc into my car's CD player and five seconds later I was cursing his name.
