Edit: Someone said Firefox with something called noScripts blocks the CG's. I have no idea. Apparently disabling JavaScript helps too.

TNT doesn't like it when you disable Javascript, so I'd definitely be careful if you decide to do it. I don't know how Noscript or CGs work, so I can't confirm that it will protect you against CGs. Even if you DO have it installed, you should still be careful when browsing shops and userlookups

Most attempts to CG on the board are pitiful, but be careful anyhow.

I'm surprised that CGs are working again - I thought TNT had managed to link all login cookies to specific IP addresses, thereby getting around that problem.

Secondarily, do not disable javascript if you are restocking. Javascript is an integral part of the shopping process (the confirmation popup). Disabling it will make restocking go quicker and, ergo, will get you frozen.

Is there some way to tell if a shop/lookup has CGs (other than waiting to see if your account gets stolen)? Something in the source code maybe? I'd risk my side account to report people with CGs to TNT.

I think there is usually something in the coding that gives it away, although I don't recommend purposely viewing any pages with CGs on them.

Thanks for the warning. Gosh, who really spends their time stealing Neo accounts? I love Neo too, but it's just easier to earn it all in the stock market.

all i can suggest is that macky's petpage is amazing and if anyones unsure about cookie grabbers you should go read what that page has to say xD

it also helps with virus protection, avoiding autoadopters, etc...

and i just realized how silly it is that i've been directing people to a petpage when a lot of the cg'er scare involves lookups or petpages o_o xD anyways... helpful. go read. XD

I'm sure it isn't taken care of. TNT is slow.

As of right now, it's definitely not fixed. There have still been reports coming in this morning of people being CG-ed in user shops.

I'm still hearing of people being cged. I haven't had any problems personally, although when I was trying to buy codestones last night I got an error message saying the amount of the item couldn't be reduced so that stopped the transaction and it also said that was a good thing because the item might have been duped. Hopefully that's not going on as well as the cgers! I'm also hoping tnt takes care of this soon.
