Ahh very cool. Thanks for the update Siouxper. I added it as a news post to the front page.

From looking at the screenshots and reading about the lack of lag, it seems to me that it's a slightly upgraded version of the virtual homes program used by GaiaOnline.

The major difference between the Neohomes and Gaia homes is that I can actually use Neohomes and they don't crash my computer!!

I've never really had much luck with either.

I just got this Neomail:
Thanks for being a member of our Neohomes closed beta group! Your feedback has been invaluable. So invaluable that we're moving to open beta so all users can get a new Neohome! We're deleting your closed beta Neohome and test items so you can choose the Neohome you want to keep. And now you'll be able to get all the Neohomes items you want in the Neopoint and Neocash shops!
So go to
www.neopets.com/neohome/ right away to select your new Neohome and start making it your own!
We still value your input. Feel free to continue to submit your feedback and report bugs. And you can still tell us what you think by taking our Neohomes Survey.
Thanks again and happy Neohoming!

Yeah, mine links to my "classic" neohome, which they'd better not take down, or I'll be upset.

I managed to choose a new home but cannot get anything else to load.

"Furniture without a Neohomes icon can only be used in classic Neohomes"
It seems that currently a great deal of items WITH the Neohomes icon can only be used in classic Neohomes.

I was able to create a house, but, as I expected, it crashes the heck out of my browser. Too bad, seemed much more workable than others I've seen of the like.

So I'm a little confused about the permanence of the new neohome.
In V1, you could tear down and start over if one was so inclined, but the V2 Wocky real estate guy (gal?) has a side note that says "Choose carefully, because once you've decided you can't go back!"
So...does that mean i can't tear down my neohome V2 if I change my mind? Or does it mean even if I tear it down, I can't choose any other homes?

Right now, if you choose to start a Neohome 2.0, you're stuck with it forever. I'm assuming though since we're in beta that you're not stuck with this one, since you're just figuring it all out. My Neohome 2.0 from the Premium beta testing was erased.
Right now, I like the fact that you can arrange the furniture and actually see what it is, but I don't like the fact that we're limited to one room and no gardens. If they're really going to go for this, they need to go all out with it, otherwise it's not worth it (in my opinion, of course).

Thank you May,
I promptly chose my neohome...only to have it crash my browser.
Oh well. I'll just wait till all the kinks are worked out.

I managed to create a new neohome, but not everything's working properly for me. It's only beta so I'm sure TNT will work it out soon. Personally I think it's quite fun, although it really needs to option to add rooms/make partitions and it's less creative then the classic neohome's.
The prices of the NC mall items are a lot more fair now. I do think TNT is quite sneaky. The sales section has been up for weeks/months now, before betatesting started and it never had anything in it. I think TNT meant to put the furni in sale right away to attract more people. I do really like the KI stuff, so I think I'll buy a few of those.

I noticed we have a link in our Inventory to the Storage Shed.
Your Neohome Storage Shed
The Storage Shed is where you keep the Neohome items you want to use when customising your Neohome. All items listed will show up in the Neohome application, and you can remove them from here at any time.
There are 10 free items to use.
