Link to shop stock removed?

Three cheers to TNT for removing the link to my shop's stock in the marketplace linkbar. I knew that although my shop was my main source of income, that one extra link really cluttered up the whole thing, no matter how convenient it was.

I'm so glad I now have to use those dropdown menus to get to my shop, instead of simply being able to click on it. That disconnected-but-similar link style is absolutely what I've always been craving, but I just never knew it until now!

It's also gone from the links in the "your items" page as well. What a pain. FWIW, I still miss the banner/ribbon/whatever it was called.

P.S. Is the "merchandise" link in the drop-down new?

The merchandise link isn't new that I know of.

And the auctions link is gone, too, and must be gotten to via the drop-down.

I had *just* gotten used to where the links were from the last time they changed it. Sheesh.

I miss the banner, too.

I can understand the staff thinking that the linkbar was getting cluttered. Honestly, I *do* get that.

But it seems to me that Neohomes, Guild Headquarters, and Battledome could have been moved first.

Guess I didn't notice, I've been using the dropdowns since a few days after they were implemented. What bugs me is the merchandise link. I believe they specifically stated the reason they didn't have SDB in the links was because that would make the dropdown too long. Yeah, ok. Yep. Sure.

But it seems to me that Neohomes, Guild Headquarters, and Battledome could have been moved first.

Nooo not battledome, I have no clue how to get to it otherwise other than googling it But the guild headquarters thing... I bet they could change the "boards" dropdown link to "community" and then add that there.

Battledome should have its own dropdown. They dropdown menus all CSS-manipulated lists, it wouldn't be that hard.

No kidding, eh. I blindly went to hit the Inventory tab and that's when I realized they changed it. Then I went to hit the Your Shop tab and it wasn't there...ugh...

I do appreciate that they're trying to unclutter the rows of text links...but really. Some of us have computers that don't like those stupid dropdown menus. Some of us have brains that don't like those stupid dropdown menus.
I really miss the image link bar. But if they're not going to bring that back, then they should've ditched the links people use the least. For starters, do we need four links to maps? The maps all link to each other, except the marketplace(which is useless but for two links, one of which is only useful to Neopians with small bank accounts). And the notice board. I can't remember ever actually finding something useful on the notice board. I agree that the guild stuff could be moved to community. And Battledome, I'm not sure. Maybe under Pet Central? We've got the "equipped items" link on our inventory page and that takes us to the Battledome already, so we're a little overkill in the BD links right now.
They just need to stop "improving" all the thinks the long-term members like. Maybe their droves of tweens are what supports Neopets, but we're still a sizeable part of their audience--and we're the ones who have actually stuck with Neopets despite the many glitches and bad support and inexplicable freezings and everything else.

the navigation image bar thing was really annoying when i was new, seeing as i didn't know what picture meant what
but once you get used to where things are, it's a lot easier then text D;

I personally LOVE the link to the (New!!) Toolbar. I'm *so* glad they've updated it to work with Firefox 3.
