Did anyone else not know about the new iPods?
Rockalicious.
(and yes, I do remember making an almost-exactly-the-same thread around the same time last year)
Long story short: does anyone care?
Well, my old, OLD Nano is on its last leg, so I might need to switch up soon.
The feature that lets you shake it to shuffle to a new song actually sounds kinda cool.

The shake to shuffle thing does sound cool, but what if you're running with it or something and it keeps shuffling?
Though I don't really like Apple stuff, so I don't care.

there was another mp3 player (maybe a sony one, i dont know) that you could shake to get it to go to the next song - it's not an original idea.
They look like they're going back towards the old style nanos and away from the more recent square ones.

I didn't know either, that's really neat.
I remember a commercial for some kids mp3 player that you just shook it up and down to switch songs. It was sort of like the shuffle though in that it was all random and I don't think you could pick what song you listened to.

The Sony Ericsson W910i and W580i mobile phones do that. *geekery work related knowledge*

Since I have never had an MP3 player I bought the light blue coloured 16gb one. With my full name engraved on the back
Re: Did anyone else not know about the new iPods?
I'd assume there was an option to turn the shake-shuffle off.

I like that they went back to the longer shape. I still don't think it's as good as the mini was. And Apple is still going with the Cover Flow gimmick?!

Yea, heard about these about a week ago when I was looking at JB Hifi's website for something else.
Doesn't really affect me. I bought a new Nano about 2 months ago with my tax refund, because my last iPod was my mini that I bought back in 2004, and the battery crapped out (back when the problems were even worse than they used to be). Haven't used it in 2 years because there was no point.

Gone, forever.
