How did you start neopets?

I was a part of a Sailor Moon community site many many years ago, and Neopets was all the rage back then. I was sitting at work, bored one day about a year ago, and I said "I wonder what that Neopets thing is...maybe I'll take a look around". A year later, I'm still religiously doing my dailies and playing actively.

Whoaaa...that's how I started Neopets too! (...except I was in middle school and didn't have work)

Likewise, I was part of a Sailor Moon community near the end of elementary/beginning of middle school and I loved invading the chatrooms. One day, there was this chat about Neopets, and I checked it out and got hooked. I WOULD have a 6+ year old account by now, but I got scammed last year and had to start a new account.

I was playing Cartoon Orbit (if anyone remembers that / played that) in middle school and was part of a group that also played Neo.. so they got me hooked. Orbit then went bye-bye so I just devoted my time to continue playing this instead

My old next door neighbour used to play, alongside my brother. We didn't have the internet back then, but erm, eventually, when we did, on one boring weekend, I got hooked. I don't play regularly these days, but am happy I joined.

In 2002 (when I was 4 and living in Singapore,) I went over to my friend's house. I saw his sister playing on this 'colourful site' and decided to insist to her to sign me up. I've been playing Neopets ever since although I have had breaks.

I was doing work study in my College Library and one of the students who was working with me was playing it on her computer. I thought it looked interesting and made an account myself. I think that happened somewhere like 2001 maybe even 2000. I have a pretty old account.

I remember they didn't even have maps for all the areas and you could even draw one up and send it in. I made up a cloud faerie realm pic lol I still wonder if that's why they put the faerie's in the clouds to this day.

Anyway I don't play as much as I use to but I still collect interest every now and again and keep my pets fed. I just take my spells

Why did you type Neopets out of the blue, if you don't mind me asking? I just find reading all the different storys very interesting, and I admit yours puzzles me.

As for me, a friend told me over ICQ. I asked her what she was doing, and she said playing Neopets. I had already read about the Neopets TCG in a magazine, but it had not impressed me back then. I just figured I would give it a try, though, because I thought that it couldn't be that childish if she was playing it

i got a spammity mail from somebody that i went to check out. it seemed like an intresting site so i tried to find a way to join without crediting the spammer. once i figured that out i found the site pretty bare... just the carnival thing and a shelf with like 2 games on it. XD i left for a while then came back and played. left again came back again. i do my dailies now but mainly just play on subeta or facebook. XD
