I was gone for a week, so im hoping somebody didnt allready make this topic....

but many people had theories that the monster in maraqua might be a slugawoo... however, we couldnt be sure, as the slugawoo doesnt really look like that monster...






however, i was scanning through all the new TCG cards from the Mystery Island set... and i came across this...



so... i guess it can be confirmed that the maraqua monster is most definetely a really big and uglified slugawoo.... maybe the slugawoo will get a little revamp? because the one in the cards looks much different from the item on neopets...

well, i have been storing some slugawoos and other ugly petpets in the hope that they get a revamp like gruslens did.

I don't even remember the old gruslens... anyone have a pic of them?

When that thing first came out, I automatically thought, "SLUGAWOO!" Of course that was before I joined PPT, so I didn't post.

I bought one... they are already so pricey (29,000NP). I hope you are right about this (actually the slugawoo in the card is cute, maybe I'll get another one just in case I want to give it to one of my pets).

don't worry..i don't buy them off the shop wiz...i just restock and store them, so it was rather cheap

edit: now that you mention Maraqua....what happen to the Maraquan plot? is it discontinued like the Sloth plot?

Hmm..maybe. Nice idea..I might buy a few.

I think I'll wait until they revamp other things that are better drawn in the cards before I invest in anything.

Well, I don't know about you, but I'm going to write into the editorial and question them about it. There's no harm in planting the seed. They can do it while people vote on the Kougra revamp (which will hopefully be today! or tomorrow or thursday... "mid next week" is such a broad term because they probably wouldn't put it up on Random Theme Day).

I certainly hope they do revamp the slugawoo though. I looked it up on the shop wiz and its a short jump from 29k to 99k. If they do revamp the slugawoo, and its a GOOD revamp *thinks gruslen quality* then who knows how far up the price may go

Personally I think if they update it cardwise, the price WILL go up. And it's not like they just drew it nicely on the cards, it is pretty different (as TWW mentioned). I mean, it has arms now. And actual eyes.

And if it goes up to 99k... That's 350k profit for me (or about 200k profit it I decide to keep one for my pet and paint it).

yeah, a revamp can do wonders for the price of petpets. not to mention gruslen since its price is tempered by the avatar (hence not the best example)...the perfect example would be the tanizard whose price jumped by over 20k for such a common petpet

If Pteris looked like that..I would get one! They look beautiful.

I was never a fan of Pteris, because to me they just look so... pieced together (like "Hmm okay lets have a circle body... okay give me a head to put on there... and then lets just stick some wings here and a tail behind). So to me, anything would be better for the Pteri as long as it was given, I don't know, maybe some shape?

I already sent in my limit of three editorial suggestions a day prodding the revamp of the slugawoo. Maybe someone else wants to add in mention of an avatar as well.
