Although, I guess it probably counted all the As and Bs and Cs and Ds in mine as separate words. So maybe it wasn't really as long as the word count made it seem. Although it was still pretty long.

At 7pm NST sharp, the door slammed open. Siniri entered carrying a covered silver platter. Everyone stared expectantly, but she just grinned impishly. "Can you smell it?"

"That better not be salmon -- I really hate salmon," loser said. "I know it's going to be the minority, but you'll serve us what the majority want, right?"

"Socrates!" StuMan shouted. Everyone looked around at him. "Huh? Save the cannibalism for Werewolf," siniri admonished. StuMan hung his head. "Oh. Salmon's fine with me, then." "Hey, y'all, I want some sow-men, too," Zilary declared. "That's how we say it in the South, y'hear?"

"Well, I'm from the South, too, and I say sam-men, but that's fine." Siniri waved the platter once more under everyone's nose. "That smells like salmon," Pipsqueeek said excitedly. "But wait, you know game theory, too, siniri, so I can't assume you would automatically serve the minority dish -- I bet you randomized it so we wouldn't really know until you make the announcement." Siniri just chuckled enigmatically.

"But I feel like chicken tonight." Pardona grumbled. "Me, too. Salmon is nasty," Pixa proclaimed. Wind said, "Well, sure, chicken'd be nice, but let's move onto the bigger topic -- who are we inviting to dinner? I vote for Frank R. Stockton. Ever since last game, I've been dying to know whether the princess chose the lady or the tiger." "I've been pondering that, too," Katherine said. "But we were supposed to choose between salmon and chicken? Oops... I guess I was focusing too much on who to invite."

"Sorry, Wind." siniri sighed. "Stockton said that until Katherine could decide between the salmon who smiled and the chicken who frowned, he won't eat dinner with you, nor tell you the answer to the riddle. But take heart! I shall now reveal the minority dish!" With a flourish, she removed the platter's cover, spilling all the salmon in the process.

"See? I was right!" loser shouted excitedly. "Yeah, but you still picked chicken," siniri pointed out. "Oh, yeah. Well, if I had picked salmon, I still would have been the majority," loser sighed. Siniri raced out of the room. "Wait, our next ques..." Pip called after her.

"That's fine, I'll just ask my first question," Pixa replied. "Britney or Mariah?"

"You've gotta be kidding me," Pardona snorted. Pixa glared at him, and Pardona huddled up on the hearth, clutching his stocking. "Anyone else got a problem with it?" Pixa growled. The rest just shook their heads.

ETA: Sorry about that. I didn't have my volume turned up at the beginning and completely missed the inappropriate language right at the start. I'll try to be more careful in future.

"Do you think siniri will actually bring in Britney or Mariah?" loser asked apprehensively. "I'd personally prefer neither." She crossed her arms and glared at Pixa. "Hey, now, it wouldn't be so bad," Pixa retorted. "I know of an excellent drinking game for this mulled cider. Each time Mariah touches her hair, drink a cup. By the end of the first verse, you'll have to run to the lady's. Britney, on the other hand... she is multi-talented: a fabulous singer also renowned for her ability to twirl the poles!"

"I know!" Zilary gushed. "I love Britney. When I go karaoking, I can sing all her songs without looking at the lyrics. But I'm not that obsessed." The other five circled around Zil and Pixa. Just then, siniri barged into the room. "Um, who's bringin' on the heartbreak?"

"We've got some Britney fans here," Pardona said coolly. "Well, don't let me be the last to know, but didn't you vote for her?" siniri asked. "It was random. RANDOM I tell you!" Pardona shouted. "I voted for this Mariah in my class who sings really well," Pip squeaked. Katherine said, "I didn't even know what the question was. Hopefully I can get on-line tomorrow!"

StuMan sneezed, and Siniri dropped her tray of salmon. "Oops, I did it again." She shrugged. "I don't want to cry. Well, let's get to the results then. I'd play a song from the winning singer, but I don't actually own either of their albums. So instead, I'll just say that four of you should LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE! I'll never stop loving you, but this time, Mariah is your hero." Wind raised her eyebrows. "So you sayin' Mariah is the minority?" Siniri nodded. Wind snorted, "And you want us to be clear in our answers? Anyway, I suppose I'm glad I was in the minority."

"Alright, let's stop talking about that question. I feel dirty now," Siniri barked briskly. "Pipsqueeek, you're up. Ask the weird question." "Okay, do you think my name is spelled weirdly?" Pip asked apprehensively. "Not that one, the Chicago one!" "Oh. Is it quicker to Chicago or by bus?
