Play the Key Quest Winter Board and unlock holiday prizes.

Holiday Prizes are now available.

New board in the Open Beta game.

Happy Holidays - Same maze as the others, but with a pretty snow/Christmas theme.

Two questions from a Keyquest novice:

- Is this a common glitch?
- Does the Haunted Woods board give out 'themed' prices also?

Wow, never seen that one before...lol

I don't think it's the board that gives the prizes. I was under the impression that any keys you earn will get you holiday prizes, seeing as you redeem all your keys in the same place.

Notice how the yellow player is still normally positioned on the map in the bottom-right corner.

Not common, but it does happen.

Funny thing is I saw my opponent slide off the board, but when I told her about it, she said that on her side of the screen, she was normally positioned throughout the whole game. So it seems to be a syncing error (not surprised since the mini-games are usually out of sync).

The vault gives out the prizes and the prizes relate to the key (gold, silver, bronze, lead). The board you play on does not make any difference.

During the Halloween promotion, haunted prizes were given out, now during the Christmas season, winter prizes are given out.

A firm answer in black and white about cheating powerups (Editorial 371):

Quote:
In Key Quest, is it considered cheating or strategy to not take your turn so that the power-up another player played on you will not work? I think its cheating. So, Great Gods of Neopia, is it strategy or cheating? There are some out there who think it's strategy (or at least use that as an excuse). ~copper316
This is considered cheating; it is not strategy. Please avoid not taking your turn to get an advantage. We are working on fixing this.

A question about the Faellie maze: How do you break through the wooden obstacles? I seem to do alright mashing the arrows and the spacebar (which I don't even know if it helps or not), but I'd like to know how to properly do it.

The barriers take about 7 or 8 hits to break, so either use your mouse to keep clicking on them or the arrow key in the direction you are going (make sure you are in the middle of the barrier, if you are close to the wall, you can not break through unless you move - and moving costs time). The spacebar does nothing.

EDIT:

26 Dec

Your KQ stats (keys won) are now available in your Collector's Case. You can make your Case private if you do not want other users viewing it.

so can you use the arrow keys to navigate versus the mouse? I've found this to be one of the biggest flaws in the game, other than the complete idiocy of putting 2-4 people with various systems and connections against each other...

Yes, in the maze, you can use the arrow keys. Same thing with the Zomutt one.
The Nova Matching, Petpetpet circling, and Spyder one require the mouse.

Anyone know if the puzzle books and console games contain prize codes?
I'm more concerned about the puzzle book, because I don't plan on buying any of the games given the bad reviews.

Only the plushies, collector cards and playsets have KQ codes.

This thread (in General Chat o_O ) is about Puzzle Adventure:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=37836

and states there are item codes.

The automatic seasonal prizes for every game seem to be over now, if my last game is anything to go by. :D

I redeemed 10 gold keys earlier on today and still got winter prizes (but I did also win a Speckled Paint Brush and a Rock Negg). :)
