My background is doing weird things, like reverting to Neopets Green no matter what I try to set it to in my preferences, but then it's Cyodrake's Gaze in the NC Mall.

Geez... not the best April Fool's joke... Plantopia! Couldn't there be something more believable? I like a good joke when it really get's me. One that I can't figure out in less than a few seconds.. Wonder if something else sneaky is in store for us?

I'm stuck on the green sidebar too - think that's part of the Plantopia thing. I have my normal sidebar themes at the NC Mall and Portal.

Stocks appear to be moving in the Neopets Portal... that is, the percentages up or down are shown. Can't tell yet if they're frozen at those levels though.

The Hidden Tower is also closed.

Ohhhhhhhh! Well!!! I am embarrassed to say that they got me!

I thought that the bank interest wasn't what I remembered, but I thought I was just being forgetful. And I didn't remember setting the sidebar to green either. Tombola I figured out.

And plantopia I figured out, too. So what makes me laugh is that I thought I'd figured out what the jokes were, but there were others that I walked right into!

I think I might have hallucinated the stocks being frozen. What can I say, it's been a rough morning.

The percentages up or down you're seeing are from the time you bought them. Stocks are frozen at the levels they were at at 12:00 NST this morning.

Jeeze, they got me too. I specifically went to Neo to see what the April Fools joke was this year, but never saw the "neoplants" thing (I never go directly to the homepage). All I saw was the green theme, said "has someone been in my account?", ran to the bank to see if my np was still there, saw a reduced interest, said "oh crap!" but then got terribly confused when I saw my balance was the same.

It's cute though, "pot spotlight" heh.

That's what I figured. On the regular Neopets site, my stocks show zero percentage change since I bought them, through Neopets Portal though, I show anywhere from losses in the red percentages, up to over 300 percentages gain since my purchases - or obviously no change at zero for those ones that are selling at 15 NP.

Edit: Just checked on my stocks again. They've gone way up! SKBD is now at 426 percent compared to 320 percent earlier this morning! Woo Hoo. Think it's time to do a little wheeling and dealing, he he.

I'm not seeing Basic Jobs coming up at the Fairyland Employment Agency -- I refreshed at the normal time (8-10 seconds before the ten-minute increment) but there was nothing.

I got two faerie quests barely 5 minutes apart today. First the Light Faerie while I was checking my stamp book, and as soon as I got her item, I went to the Money Tree - and bam, just showing up there the Fire Faerie sent me on another quest!

The RE's are coming thick and fast.

So far I found: A bottled faerie, A Slice of Neopets 7th Birthday Cake and Petpet Laboratory Map.


The Neopian Second-Hand Shoppe bots are giving away more often and there is a Wooden Barrel that you can grab (so poor, you have to wear a barrel).

Is it wrong that I was looking forward to getting Neoplants? That little cactus guy is too cute.

Okay... for me anyway, the Neopets site has significantly slowed down in the past hour or so. My refreshes are taking so long the page times out or comes up blank. Even when I try to explore or go another page, it loads soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slowly.

Anybody else experiencing this, or did I fall into the Dead Zone?
