No links to show???
At the bottom of every page, where I would normally see adverts (when I don't uss stylesheets to block them) I get a box saying "No links to show".
I'm not on premium, and it is every page.
Not that I'm complaining but what happened?

Hmm... I went to see, but everything looks and works normally for me. Here's my fix-it suggestion - what I usually try when I run into glitches, etc:
clear your browser cache and maybe your temporary internet files. This almost always clears up any problems I have. You may have an old temporary file that's corrupt or damaged. That's about the only thing I can suggest - Hope it helps!

I second that. I do that when things go all funky in my browser for me too.Katbody10 wrote:Hmm... I went to see, but everything looks and works normally for me. Here's my fix-it suggestion - what I usually try when I run into glitches, etc:

I can't seem to reproduce your error, so it might either by your browser (try using a different browser and see if the problem occurs again), or it might be something localized to your region. (Neopets might be targeting people from your region for a certain advertisement that isn't quite working.)

I'm on IE8, but my wife is on IE7.
Maybe its my ISP blocking the ads.

I know what you mean as I see it (the no links to show thing) too at the bottom of page where those text based adverts on Neopets used to be. (though I as using FF3) But I do still see graphic ads had the button.

Just out of interest, I'm with BT Broadband (I get it for free cos I work for BT).Combusken BG wrote:I know what you mean as I see it (the no links to show thing) too at the bottom of page where those text based adverts on Neopets used to be. Do you have an anti-virus program with an ad blocking feature?arogance1 wrote:At the bottom of every page, where I would normally see adverts (when I don't uss stylesheets to block them) I get a box saying "No links to show".

Re: No links to show???
Nope, unless Avast has just added the feature recently.
Whats the connection?
3 PC's.
Different ISPs.
All in UK.

Re: No links to show???
When the sponsered links don't load, it causes issues with the layout. As a way to prevent that they added the 'No links to show' feature. Basically in the code they are connecting to another server, then this connection fails, then instead of putting nothing there, which would cause issues with the layout they put in that text.
By not using the styesheets, you are in effect blocking that connection to the other server forcing the code to produce the connection failed response.
I hope that helps clear things up a little.
