Well it is a go! I'm sad, because it is inhumanly dificult to play the cup in a laptop mouse-thingy, but i hope i can do good in the shootout (average of 6 shots, not too shabby i think :D) and my personal favourite, Break a Keyboard Make Some Noise.

Is there some kind of new tactics this year (since the game looks like they didn't even get the trouble for doing something diferent and just paste the code from last year very very similar to last year) but maybe some tactics on the shootout, since i only shoot the ball straight, max power and hope the keeper isn't home ~:>

On that note, good luck to all my fellow Darigan players and let Kreludor be an example of old-school floor cleaning for all the other teams to come ^^

Sent in a bunch of scores- no updates or NP. How odd. Guess they haven't turned it on yet. I'll try again later.

edit: scanned the boards. Apparently you need to refresh the game after every score submitted or it won't count. How annoying. Good thing my first few scores were on the low end, no great loss. Still no NP though. Bugs, bugs, bugs...

KI FTW!

Oh god! Just tried it, you're right! You need to close and reopen the game window every time you submit. So that means my 3 9-0 games were all for the sake of my mind blowing :x

Also it seems the NC Challenge hasn't opened yet, too... strange... TNT NOT having pay content on time?

No need to close and re-open. Just hit 'F5' after each submission.
Only first three games count towards NP, but you can keep playing despite the admonitions that "you have already submitted three scores today" it is still being recorded (tested on Shoot Out). However, there may be play caps- the 5th time I played Make Some Noise there was a notice that said I had "submitted the maximum number of scores for the day" and the 5th score was not recorded.
So strange that it's so buggy when they've been doing this for 4 years now and all they have to do this year is change the "III" to "IV" in graphics and swap out Brightvale for Kiko Lake. Pffft....

It trully saddens me the fact that these guys can't seem to do anything right, and all they think is about profit and how to max it.

I stopped playing about an year ago, to come back and find that they just released an avatar (first one in an year) and that no plot has ever come out (the main reason i play neopets, as i think 90% of my friends). What did they do in this year? NC Mall this, NeoCash that, buy our plushies, spend you money here, there... I'm not as old school as i'd like (i'd go crazy in a good sense if i ever got to be part of Lost Desert plot) but i sure am old enough to remember thing started to change when Adam left. And this change could be something so refreshing, but they prefered to put the best pet only available to those with fancy cell phones, and make pets customisables just to open NCM... Every awesome thing they manage to ruin.

Sorry for the off-topic rant/wall of text, but this really gets me off

I got a message after my fourth play on Shootout that I had no outstanding challenges for that game and wouldn't receive NP, but it still counted my play in my # of games played... Just played a fifth game, and the exact message is:
Quote:
You have no outstanding challenges for this game and you have already posted your max scores for today.

It still updated my number of games played to 5, though. My goal is to try to play a sane number of games each day, to more evenly help my team and still qualify for a decent prize -- so I don't want to play games that won't count. I wanted to play 3 (winning/tying?) YYBs/day, and the equivalent of 1 YYB game for each of the other 3 games (even if I don't get NP for all those plays).

I got the message for MSN only. For Slushie Slinger and Shootout I was able to put in 5 games.

Yeah well, TNT is really messing up lately. Profit is all well and good, but you still have to deliver the goods, you know? *sigh*

I think they want us to refresh on every game so we have to look at an advertisement. Well anyway, when I refresh I see "Sponcered by popcicle" or something like that. So for each refresh they get money I think because we had to see the ad. Some people are saying this is a glitch but I don't think so.

Maybe it will get fixed but if not, I am going to just stop playing yooyu ball I think. It will be a chore to refresh each time. We didn't have to do that last year, and I actually enjoyed the game a bit. But if it is a chore and I don't enjoy it, then I won't play.

The rules say all scores posted will count, so I think as long as it's updating the number of plays, it'll count, regardless of what the warning says. Their code might be wonky, but since they are recording the relevant data, once they realize it's messed up, they'll be able to fix it and count things properly. So I say play away... Of course, saying that, I've played 6 of each of the support games and 3 winning games of YYB, so I'm done.

Just out of curiosity, am I better off sending losing (or tying) YYB scores or not? In terms of both team score and personal score...

Arrgh. I played over 10 games... all very high scoring... and because I didn't refresh after each game, they didn't count. I only have 4 recorded wins. This is why I need to check PPT before doing anything on Neo. On the other hand... Neo is swiftly just running out of steam for me. No good plot in years. Nothing but NC stuff (or being attached to other events)... Other than my dailies, I simply don't care any more. Adam and Donna's new game is more fun at the moment, so it gets my extra free time.

I wholeheartedly agree. I play YYB when I'm regenerating energy on the other game. Multitasking FTW. Hee.

I'm having trouble with the option to send the players to their "home" positions. I hit the up arrow, but nothing happens. Anyone else having this problem?

It's actually the Shift key, which is accompanied by an empty Up arrow symbol. ^.^ (Certainly, it would be nice if they made that a little bit clearer, since the same confusion has been experienced by many.)

For the record, I have NOT had to reset my game since this afternoon in order to submit multiple scores. I believe that this particular glitch has been fixed.

Now, if they could just get the NC Challenge component up and running.

EDIT: NC Challenge tickets are now able to be purchased (as of 8:00 PM NST).

However, the ticket packs cannot be activated, so the challenge can't be completed.

NP rewards: ~105 NP/goal, because I get 950NP on a 9-point game. But that might change, I personally think it's too high, if you figure in how many games people will play.
