Hey guys

It's been quite some time since i logged into neopets and explored, so i'm probably gonna ask an odd question... lol

Is the Neopets (NST) time suppose to differ for each map?

I found it rather odd that when i'm in the Maltora City page and Maltora Caves page, the times differ from each other.

They are approximately 5 minutes apart.

Furthermore, Maltora City page is 30 minutes apart from the rest of the Neopia maps.

Is that suppose to be the way it is? Or are my pages glitched? o_O

As far as I know, the maps should all have the same time. They are all the same (i.e. correct) for me. It may just be you. Have you tried a different browser to see if it is doing the same thing?

OMG Thanks lol!

Haha now this is weird. The times are messed up on IE but is working perfectly fine on Firefox.

On IE, The times in Moltara are stuck at the 7th hour (pm) and everytime i refresh, the clock starts back at 7.12 pm

Is there a way that i can fix this? IE seems to load things faster than my firefox...so..yeah ><

It made me wonder if the intervals for White and Black are timed more than tied to an actual time... I'm tracking my times in an excel document and will post in the next week or so if I start seeing patterns!

How interesting... please do!

The following information is based on completing my set of worms three times. I'm currently working on my fourth set and have 8 worms right now.

When I've managed to put in the effort of refreshing once per minute, I've found that the worms start appearing at times ending in 0 or 5. (:00, :05 :10 :15, etc) I know I found one worm at :17, but all the rest, like clockwork, 0 or 5.

When I first go to the page, there tend to be between 2-4 worms already waiting around for me to pick up.
I usually pick up another one or two within the next 10-15 minutes.
Within a half hour I usually have 6-7.
I tend to find my 8th (orange worm) about an hour after I've started searching.
The last two worms (black and rainbow)... these vary.
First time (started searching around 1pm NST) , I got all ten within two and a half hours.
Second time (started searching around 12:30pm NST), three days. (I slacked off my search in defeat for a while)
Third time (5pm NST), two hours.
Fourth time (5:30 NST) still working on it.

I've only paid loose attention to the actual times I started searching, but the above spawning intervals have been pretty accurate so far.

It's been 3 days and I'm not finding the black or the rainbow. Do they look unusual? For example, would the black one appear to be a crack in the rock? or are they obvious when they are there. I didn't have trouble at all finding the first 8- found them within an hour, but the black and the rainbow I just don't see.

^^ From the screen shots I've seen, they look the same as all the other worms - just the colour is different. They don't really blend in any more than the other worms.

However, I've yet to find those two myself.

I just a minute ago got the black one. It came at 7:53 PM NT.
The rainbow one came at 5:04 PM NT.

To answer my own question, they were clearly visible, so my thought that maybe the black one was hidden wasn't valid.

it took me about a week before I got the rainbow one, and it was another week before I got the black one. i was up at an ungodly time of the morning and thought to check and there it was. I wouldn't be surprised to find that they only appear at certain times of the day based on when you get the empty lantern. (the first time i got them it took me all of 3 or 4 minutes to find them all)

It's been about a month? I still don't have the black worm.

I'm too old for this!

Same here. I also have never found the rainbow worm, either.

I think the worms really do refresh in multiples of five minutes, at 5, 10, 15, etc. minutes after the hour (NST). Each worm refreshes at a different rate (e.g., the red seems to refresh most frequently, while the pink, black, and rainbow refresh least often), but if you check once within each five minute window, you should have all your worms within an hour or two.

I get the first 8 within about an hour, but the black and rainbow not so much. The rainbow comes only one time a day that I've been able to find it. It would be 5:00-5:05 PM NT. The Black comes twice a day sometime between 7:50 and 8:10 AM and PM. These are times for me, and I suspect everybody has different times.

I've definitely gotten the rainbow and black worms at various times between 3am NST and 10pm NST. For example, today I just got the rainbow one at about 10am NST; yesterday I didn't get the black one until close to 10pm NST, but I've gotten it as early as 3am before.

I always pick them up the first time I see them, but I wonder if anyone has actually let them go by to calculate the time intervals... I personally don't have the patience, but it would be interesting to know.

Yeah... I got all the worms, but the last ones I got were the black and rainbow worms. They seem to be the hardest ones to find.
