Dyl, I also followed the PPT guide and did fine. I got it in my second game. My score (46,928) ended up being reviewed, but it still awarded me AAA's prize and gave me credit in the table. Did anyone else have that problem? I'm wondering if I should send another score just in case.

Mine was reviewed at 47k and it gave me the prize even without the NP from the game. I don't think there'll be a problem.

I keep getting hung up on one particular level...Level 8. That's where it really starts to fall apart for me. Anyone offering tips on that level (and, frankly, the levels after) will become my personal hero for today.

Shapu, I really don't want to play all the way up to level 8 again to look at it, but I can give you some general advice. I tried to partially fill bubbles that were important connectors (led to ricochet paths that connected wider areas), and then rely on the cross-splattering to help take care of the squarer areas for me. Remember that if there are a number of bubbles that will be sending snot one way, you don't need to fill those bubbles as much. Finally, I like to start my reaction on the edge of my nearly-full pathway, closest to the area I'm most worried about -- that way you'll get a lot more snot coming from the other end to fill it in better.

If you take a screenie of the level you're struggling with, I can give you more specific advice.

I hope you were able to finally beat Snot Splatter, Shapu. Today's is not bad at all, especially if you use the guide I posted in the first post, which has screenies for every level.

The Daily Dare game for Monday, February 22nd, is Freaky Factory. To beat AAA, get a score of 750 or better.

This has always been one of my favorite games - so much so that I posted a guide to the forums years and years ago, which was later added to the Pink Poogle Toy freaky factory guide list:

Happy Blobbing!

Anyone else still in the running for Grandultimate Scoretacular? Today's game really tried my patience. After several scores in the high teen-thousands, I gave up playing in hard mode and switched to medium mode, where I got the required score in my first game. I wasn't very good at forcing Zenco to choose the trait I wanted him to, so it was a bit tedious (since I had to be conservative and not get very many bonuses for much of the game), but I still spent less time on that last game than all the hard games combined.

P.S. I also played in medium quality; it made the game run much faster.

Not me. I'm still in the running for Super Uberiffic though. I set my expectation low, as I know there will be some games I cannot beat AAA. Today's card game is one example. One play, beat Abi and out. No pressure. My only real challenge is to log in every day and play. So far it hasn't been a problem. Thankfully, the Double Dare ends on 3/14.

I'm out after snot splatter, which is actually a HUGE load off my shoulders. I had a hard time with Dueling decks, but here's a hint worth remembering:
When you (or the computer) wins a hand, YOUR card goes at the bottom of the deck first, THEN Zenco's goes under that. That should help you track the positions of every card in the game.

A good guide is here:
http://www.neopets.com/ntimes/index.pht ... 5&week=424

And a list of the stats of every card is here:
http://www.neopets.com/ntimes/index.pht ... 8&week=421

EDIT:
Ah, I finally beat snot splatter. Here's an OUTSTANDING guide that got me through it (pay special attention to the bit about the doubler power-up):

2/24: Thanks for the Dueling Deck guides, shapu. I'd have gone through and tracked the cards, but I was too lazy to do the work involved -- even though it would have saved me time in the long run. But with the guides, the work's mostly done for you. I've added them to the first post.

Today's game is Carnival of Terror, and it's not too bad if you just shoot as much as you can, as accurately as you can, and use the codes. I usually type 'piecrus' during one of the lulls when there are no clowns around, and that way I can just hit the 't' when I'm down to one shot and I don't waste time when there are clowns around to shoot.

P.S. If I ever don't get around to updating the first post in a timely manner, I would not be offended at all if one of the mods beat me to it. ;)

ETA 2/25: Today's game is Pterattack. It's really not that bad, although I did have a bit of lag -- which only seemed to affect the speed of my shots, and not the grarrl's or pterodactyls' speed. Still, I got it in my third game; it would have been my first game had a green power-up not materialized underneath me when I was at 1350 with two solid rows of red pterodactyls coming at me.

I beat the score handily on my first try, but had failed to click the "challenge aaa" button. D'oh!

I did (almost) exactly the same thing - I was at 1375 or so when I accidentally hit the green power up. After that, it took me several games to get back.

After playing "several" times, I began wondering if the color of power up you see most through the game is the same as the first one you pick up. I also noticed that some games give you a lot more power ups than others. o_O

The problem I had was getting the game to give me fireball power-ups in the first place. I had to play over 20 games before I could get two to show up in the same try.

I had the same problem. I thought it might be because I would pick up a purple or blue powerups until a fireball came along. I noticed that I would see more of those than a fireball. After wondering if first powerup collected determined the majority of powerups that followed during the game, I quit picking up any powerups until a fireball came along. However, in only 2 games did the fireball come up with any kind of frequency (more than one): the first game (when I accidentally wiped the 4x fireball with a green), and my last one (after 10-15+ games) when I beat AAA. In the last game, I got a lot of fireballs.
