http://www.neopets.com/desert/extravagance.phtml It is a hidden link in Qasala - the window in the building to the back right of Mystical Surroundings.
It costs 100,000 nps a turn. New avi for those who are lucky enough to spin it up.

What a beautiful NP sink. I guess it can not really be worth it. It will help with the inflation of items on the wheel, and give the super rich Neopians something to do. One more avatar I'll never get...

I read that you can also get a Mystery Island Paintbrush. Given that I'm at 7 codestones/training, and the average price is upwards of 5k/codestone now, a 10-point free training is worth over 350,000 NP, so this wheel could be profitable for me. But so far I'm down 175k from spinning it twice.

100,000k? Wow
That's an expensive wheel!
...and now after getting the "X" *twice*, I'm down 200k
I suppose it's good that you can spin it only once per day.
...stupid wheel.

Blue, you could be down 275k in 3 days, like me. I hope I get something really cool tomorrow before they depreciate too much, and then get the avatar the next day. The good news is that even if you're not spinning, prices will fall on the wheel's items, so you'll still benefit from it (maybe I'll finally splurge on that nerkmid avatar). Now if only the nothing square would be replaced by one giving out a whole set of 10 codestones...

Being a glutton for punishment, I've now spun 3 times.
Today was a bit better: I "Won" 100,001!!
So I'm now only 199,999 down

Tell me about it! That wheel is so tempting...I've also spun it 3 times.
1. +5 Defense
2. 50,000 nps
3. Aluminium Nerkmid
Not half bad, but now I'm even further away from reaching the 5 mil tier in my bank account. This better not become a daily.

Yay! Today I won +10 agility, so I'm probably about even on this wheel. I'll continue to spin until I get a better sense of the probabilities (and figure out whether it's worth it) and/or get the avatar.

When was the wheel released and how was it found? The "hidden link" mention intrigues me.

It was released on Friday in the news. The picture made it pretty obvious it was in the Lost Desert. Today I "won" 100,001 NP (i.e., really 1 NP). Still hoping for a Nerkmid, paintbrush, or more stat boosts.

25k today, so I'm down ~75k over 6 days. Expensive.

Yeah, I'm done gambling with fake money like this. So irresponsible. Unrelated topic: My powerball numbers are the months and days of my wifes, my, and my daughter's birthday.
