I am trying to remember to go to Buried Treasure every 3 hours today and the Training Academy every 4 hours for my new pet to gain some free levels.

I never understood why after all these years, only the lower-level pets got free training. I guess TNT has always assumed that those of us with higher level pets can just afford it (hah!). Ah well. I'll take my labbie anyways.

No luck for Buried Treasure for me yet, either. I've gone twice, will be going again shortly. But then, I had two wins on it yesterday (500 and 2k), so I'll be surprised if I find anything again today.

I miss how the Wheel of Excitement used to be free today and half off tomorrow. When they did the wheels revamp, they didn't program that in.

I've gotten 2 REs already, as well - one pointless one, and one Bri Codestone. Yay birthday sidebar. Er. Site theme.

At least it didn't seem like there were any bugs with any of the special things though, this year. IIRC, the free training didn't work for a while last yet.

Buried Treasure: You Won Nothing

Training Academy: increased Level.

I got a random faerie quest as soon as I opened Neopets yesterday and a few Space Faerie RE's while battling. Nothing really good though.

I got 2k at 280,224 today. (That vicinity will probably work best for Blue; I have strong reason to suspect that there are several "treasure" hot spots, distributed by the first letter of the username -- I have no idea how many total there are, but I know there's at least 2-3. Since Blue's and my usernames start with the same letter, he's more likely to get a hit there.)

Training Academy: increased Level.

I got 1 more training session in before the free training finishes. Not bad. 4 sessions out of a maximum of 6 I could have done.

I think I managed to train my untrained pets 5 times yesterday, and my old labbie twice (these 3 are on my side).

Today, I've just started my dailies, and I've already gotten 3 good RE's: Peadar gained a level, someone handed me a lottery ticket, and I found a Ham and Cheese Mashed Potato on the floor.

Got in 4 sessions for my labbie, so 4 levels she can now lose, LOL.

I got another faerie quest (light faerie, level for 1np, woot!), another codestone, a couple space faeire REs, a bunch of useless RE's, and a couple where I lost nps or a junk item from my inventory. Not too bad, all in all.

...plus I made a little extra on the side playing HTML games and winning a couple bottled faeries and a map piece off Scorchy Slots. Nothin' like a good afternoon naptime Neo day!
