Congrats, Blue!

I celebrated my 14th anniversary of playing last week....and my battle pet's 14th birthday. Unfortunately, I was so busy getting ready for company, I totally forgot about it until today.

Gloat: Got Third in Geos again - which makes sense, as I did actually lose my 3rd round match.

Cry: Starting my two months of Nerkmid collecting...and none for day 1. Ah well.

Cry/Gloat... I crossed a threshhold in my Neo bank account to where I could upgrade to the next higher interest level. Upon upgrading, my daily interest suddenly dropped by about 130NP per day!! Thinking I had a grandfathered interest rate since I hadn't upgraded in a very long time, I figured it was a stupid thing to have upgraded without checking around first. So, I poked around to see if there had been an inflationary adjustment, or if I was just out of luck.

...turns out I had actually downgraded my level by leaving three 000's off of the level
It's all fixed and properly upgraded now.

I've won 133:30 over the last 3 days in Food Club. I considered saving each day for a trophy run, but even bronze is in the 2M range, and that's just too much interest to forgo for such long odds -- even for today's 72:10, I'd still need to average about 20:10 for the next 7 days for a decent shot at a trophy (assuming people will get bumped), which is above my long-term average. So I'd rather get the interest and try again next month -- the interest on over 1M NP net is nothing to sneeze at.

Gloat: Managed to get a new trophy at reset time.
Cry: We're on the 15th of the month, and I've only managed to pick up 10 nerkmids from battling. It *usually* gives me 1-2 a day. Apparently it knows I'm trying to collect them, and so it's being stingy!

There were 4 positive arenas (out of 5) in Food Club today. Had I tried to do the 7 safeties with the best shot (all fairly "necessary" to have a safe betting day), I'd have only had 3 spots left for the last arena, where all 4 pirates had nearly equal chance of winning. And even if I had added 2 extra safeties and not used any booster arena at all, I'd have still had less than 50% chance of winning anything -- and I don't like to play those kinds of odds. So instead, I played the 4 combos of 3 of the 4 favorites in the positive arenas plus the 6 combos of 2 of the 4 favorites in the positive arenas. With a single upset, I'd win 20:10. With a double upset, I'd win a paltry 4:10 (a net loss). But with no upset, I'd win 56:10. Today, the stars aligned with the blue moon, and that 15.8% chance of no upset came through for me! Woohoo! (Had I made the riskier bets, I'd have only won 48:10.) I'm now sitting on 84:20 for the first two days of holding for a trophy run, and a lot of the top bettors seem to not be betting right now. Here's hoping I can continue to luck out and finally upgrade to a gold trophy!

Bummed. Only managed to pick up 26 codestones. Seeing as we only had 28 days that the site was up enough to battle, that's still less than one per day, when I've done much better in the past. Here's hoping next month nets a better ratio of codestones per day!

Cry: Food Club's still not updating. Worse, trophy reset didn't happen for it, so my two days of over 700k don't qualify for a trophy (gold is still in the 3M's -- totally impossible to do in two rounds thanks to the 1M cap). I'll get that gold trophy yet. Just such a bummer to miss out on it twice in three months for reasons beyond my control...

Somehow I missed this last week, but my Neo account has passed the 10 year mark!

Belate(latelate)d Congrats on the anniversaries. I just realized my 12 year anniversary was yesterday. Crazy.

On an unrelated note, I was trying to get some 5x games in (note: Splat a Sloth is glitched; it kept giving me 0 NP no matter what score I got), and I clicked on the Better than You just to see if it was actually running. It is -- and it's giving out prizes (I got a 7.5k snowball and the same bronze trophy I already had). Snot Splatter takes time, but if you find the "beat AAA's score" guide, it's not too bad.

ETA: Won a clothing item from Kiko Pop (on hard) that's worth ~25k. Not bad! (By the way, I heard that your prize is determined before you even click, so you don't need to try to aim. Sure enough, I popped the balloon without really aiming today.)

Well, that's three codestones I don't have to buy.

I had my first RE in a long time this morning:

Food Club appears to be fixed. I made over 750k the last two days. I'm up at least 4.5M since the transition.

Now if only TPP could hit 79, that's be another 1M plus...

ETA Won ~285k more in Food Club, so that's over 1M gross (but only ~700k net, because I spend nearly 90k/day on it). Tripling my money is awesome! (My long-term average is only nearly double, so I'm sure my luck will run out soon... but I'll enjoy it while I can.)

Dug up 10k at the Forgotten Shore today

I got the Number Six avatar today - the one you get by matching the amount of Neopoints Adam has on hand a kilo of asparagus costs. I never really bothered to check the about us page to see if I could afford it, but today, reddit pointed out it was only 5,090,136 NP. (It's also the most I think I've ever withdrawn from my bank account, haha.)

I wonder if it there is some code to automatically change it every so often, or if it is set by hand whenever someone remembers to change it.
